Here’s a quick rundown
The B.Tech course curriculum is 8 semesters long. There are about 6–7 subjects per semester; there are 2 practicals, and the rest are theoretical. The planning is fine, but students depend on self-study a lot since the faculty does NOT help much. The class size is about 85 students, and the course fee requires INR 27,000 per year, each semester INR 27,750, including tuition, exam, and ERP fee. The fee structure is reasonable compared to other private colleges.
Campus life seems dull, although the clubs exist, they seem to work mainly for promotional purposes, in that they do share their activities online, but they don't really promote engagement or learning. Only one gathering per semester, & there is not much extra-curricular value in the overall environment. The admission process is also easy, as it's just a submission of documents and fees, but students scoring below 50% might be rejected. The reviewer regrets signing up without research and advises others to be cautious.
The faculty situation is weak, with only 20–25 faculty members out of over 1,500 IT students. Classes are limited in that they only have 3 lectures per day, and each lecture is only 45 minutes. Most of the faculty are temporary; this is certainly an issue, as there is a lot of faculty turnover, and students are unsatisfied.

JG University Admission FAQs
Ques. When does the admission process usually start in JG University?
Ans. The admission process at JG University, Ahmedabad, is generally initiated in spring, around March or early April each year. Applications are generally accepted until May or June, depending on the program. For courses with entrance tests, entrance tests are generally held in June with results released and counselling conducted in July. Final admission offers are made by the end of July or early August and the academic session starts in late August or early September period of each year. This pattern continues for most undergraduate programs and postgraduate programs throughout the university.
Ques. How are seats allotted at JG University?
Ans. At JG University, depending on the program, students will either be admitted based on merit or entrance exam scores for admission. For professional courses such as B.Tech, MBA, and MCA, JG University participates in the centralised admission process run by the Gujarat ACPC (Admission Committee for Professional Courses). The candidate registers, verifies documents, and then participates in the multiple-choice filling rounds. The seat allotment is based on entrance exam scores (GUJCET, JEE Main), merit, category, and availability. The candidate must confirm acceptance of the seat work, pay the fees, and verify documents within the allotted time.
Ques. Are there management quota seats at JG University?
Ans. Management quota seats exist for select JG University programs, such as B. Tech, MBA and MCA, per the Gujarat legislation that governs self-financed institutions. Management quota seats are still aimed at students who have not received admission through the regular either merit or ACPC process (Admission Committee for Professional Courses). However, JG University maintains a strong academic ethos and a commitment to being transparent (with respect to the administration of our admissions practices), and the need for minimum eligibility standards. As a general rule, admission using the management quota will be done by way of direct counselling and document verification conducted by the university staff.
Ques. Is there any age limit for UG programs at JG University?
Ans. At JG University, there is no defined upper age limit for undergraduate year entry. While age is clearly not important, the academic qualification is important, students must have successfully completed their 10+2 education and must meet the subject/percentage minimums required for the level they wish to apply. Processes for admission are based on selecting students by referring/using the grades from the board examinations and any acceptable entrance examinations if applicable. To start achieving core values in diversity, our admission process supports both straight out of school students and mature students if they have met the eligibility criteria.
