Swami Vivekananda University Kolkata Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

This university has the decent placement records with highest package offerd being 25 LPA and the average package being 2.75lakh LPA and lowest package of 1.8lakh LPA . top recruiters are wipro,pwc,tata,alumnus,saudi aramco etc

May be due to the low fees provided by the college The placement is not too good, no big companies come here, the final semester students become eligible for campus placement. The highest packagae of the college is 2500000 and the minimum package is 250000. Percentage of students getting placement is very much low. My plans after getting the degree is go for masters and go for CSIR Net exam and get into research field

I have heard that after 1st year we can get internships from companies There are many companies as a biotechnoly student the comoanies that visited in our branch are - cipla ,simbiogenesis,britania, dr reddys lab ( and many more ) highest ackage got by any body is 25 lakhs per annum in biotech and 35 lakhs in others Around 97 percent of student got placement this year My plan is i will crack net exam and do my msc form any iits and furthur studies for foreign

I don't know now because I am in 3rd semester now. Tata, Wipro, Amul etc are the companies.. The average package is 3 lakh per annum. Almost 98%students got placement each and every year. My plan is to do something and pursuing higher studies.

The curriculum that I choose because I have interest in the field of investigation, u need to study yourself if you join in this college and the worst thing is exam timetable that won't happen on time and if ask why they have no answer to say

There are so many different professional, bsc and btech streams here. Out of all that I personally chose biotechnology because I always loved biology and wanted to do something related. I always wanted to do practicals, and that facility I get here

I chose this course because I'm interested in it. And I like the subjects involved in this course. There are enough faculty members as needed. The faculty members are well qualified and the term exam occurs within 6 months and it is not much difficult

Because I want to do something biological field. The ratio is 1:50. The qualification of the faculty is very high most of them completed their Ph.D. in their respective field. The difference between the two-term exams is almost 6 months and it is very easy to pass if you give a little bit of effort.

It's not actually difficult to passout in the exams. Some Faculty members are very helpful and some are not. I have many complaint against some faculties and also some staffs in the exam cell. Their behavior with students is unexpectable. They are behaving with us like we are servant. I have some problems in my marksheets. My name spelling is wrong in the marksheets. I request for correction several times but till not they are not solving my problem. So, I, therefore request to the CEO of our University please do something.
