Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University (RLBCAU) has two colleges under its wing- College of Agriculture and College of Horticulture and Forestry, a constituent college of RLB CAU.
- LB CAU offers three undergraduate and eight postgraduate courses in the domain of Agriculture, Horticulture, and Forestry and also offers PhD courses.
- Candidates can take admission to these courses by appearing for All India Entrance Examination in Agriculture and Allied Sciences (AIEEA).
- This examination will be the basis of admission to 100% seats in Rani Lakshmibai Central Agricultural University (RLB CAU) Jhansi.

- Indian national candidates must have passed 10+2 Senior Secondary Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education or any other examination.

- Indian Nationals of at least 16 years of age as on 31.08.2024 are eligible to apply for the examination.

- Candidate must have passed (or due to appear at the final examination) their Bachelor degree from a recognized university in the concerned field under 10+2+5 (B.V.Sc. & AH), 10+2+4, 10+6 years degree programmes may apply for this examination.
- The candidate must have Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) of at least 6.60/10.00 in ten-point scale, 3.25/5.00 in five-point scale, 2.60/4.00 in four-point scale In other cases, where grade-points are not awarded and only marks are awarded, the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks for General, OBC and UPS categories, whereas for SC/ST/PC categories the requirement is 50% marks.
- Indian Nationals below 19 years as on 30 March notified by ICAR/University shall not be eligible to appear in the examination.

RLBCAU Jhansi Scholarships
RLB CAU offers The National Talent Scholarship (NTS) under which undergraduates, admitted in the University through All-India Entrance Examination for various UG programmes in Agriculture or allied sciences conducted by ICAR, are given monetary benefits as revised by ICAR. The students admitted through competitive examination conducted by VCI for admission to BVSc. & AH shall also be eligible for NTS.

- There is various co curriculum for observed days such as science day, forest day, environmental day... Poster, painting , essay competitions are held for which prizes were given.
- Sports week is held inter college between college of agriculture and college of horticulture and forestry.
Dislikes
- Less practical involvement in summer due to harsh weather condition of the bundelkhand region.
Admission:
I applied for this college mainly because it is a central university and is more affordable than state agriculture universities. The facilities available in hostel are top notch in this university. Clean and hygienic. I applied by giving icar aieee exam. However right now admission is done through CUET exam.
Likes
- Infrastructure is top notch. It has central air conditioning.
- Lift system on all sides of all floors and pond areas with boating systems.
Dislikes
- Exams are conducted like every other month so it does become stressful
- There is not much sports related infrastructure or sort of proper field.
Admission:
I was selected through icar entrance exam and gave this university first place in choice list. As soon as I was selected in the first round, I joined in. Then we are called in for physical reporting where we deposit our documents and do the registration.
Likes
- Infrastructure and environment are great like fields and swimming pool and even we have the boating area at two ponds
- The classes have smart boards and central air conditioning
Dislikes
- Markets are not around for atleast 7km so you have to go a little distance for shopping but we have a general store inside.
- Strict rules and regulations about hostel timings
Admission:
I applied through icar counselling and got a seat here, i accepted this at the first round and chose this for its amazing infrastructure so not a chance of other university rejections. But one problem is its fairly a new university and old universities have a larger exposure so thats the only lacunae.

- Faculty Exprience: The fuclty was divers one and knowledgeable.
Dislikes
- College in terms placement and making relationships with industry.
- Coollege is not active on Linkdln , Instagram or other social media places.
Admission:
I took ICAR UG exam. the whole selection process was compelete merit basics. I was rank AIR 320. Its annual uptake rate is 2000 in all agricultural collegs in pan india. The exam happens annually one time. It basically fullproof for any medical students so nothing is much difficult.
Likes
- The infrastructure of the college is beyond expectations both in academic building as well as the hostels
- Classrooms are lashed with high technology modern equipments. All classrooms are fitted with smart display boards and wifi. Easy to access for professors to display their content to the students in an efficient way.
Dislikes
- Lack of high class sports related infrastructure and absence of athletic track.
- Isolated location of the university provides little scope of amusements. It's 10 km away from main city.
Admission:
Any student who has passed 10+2 with minimum 50 percentage having biology/ agriculture as a subject is eligible. Application form is published by cuet on their website. Reservation is provided as per category. Exam is held once a year. Admission process is quite simple. One just need to appear for the exam then on publication of results and rank card counselling is done by ICAR.

- The university lies in sideline of city jhansi.The campus has an area of 300 acre.Beautiful and green campus providing all necessities to the students.Overall campus life is good.Someone can engage themselves in various activities in & around campus.
- There are three disciplines namely agriculture, horticulture and forestry and some disciplines yet to started and have various departments.Departments have good labs and good laboratory staff.Here teaching is done on projector which is explained.
Dislikes
- University provides internship opportunities to the students but the placement of students is not considered to be good here.It needs to improve.
- Here,the schedule of college is very busy.Studenys have to go college for six days in a week for six to seven hours.This has to be changed.
Admission:
The one must complete their intermediate from a recognised board.One has either of subject maths , biology or agriculture as main subject in intermediate.The application is taken by the ICAR.Application fee varies according to the category.Reservation is also availed as per central government norms.The entrance exam is conducted once in a year with moderate level of difficulty.The time given for filling application form is for 1 months.The exam is conducted generally after neet exam in month of May.Application is taken in month of March -April.For availing reservation,one has to submit necessary documents.There is equal number of questions from all the subjects.There is 3 different combinations of subject group.

- I like Place , facilities, view, study in university .
- The management of the university is not much better as high level Universities but it's good for best study purpose.
Dislikes
- The sports facilities are not much more for the students and also staff.
- The exam pattern is not good for the students.
Admission:
The admission process is online and offline mode, both modes are required for admission to the university. All required documents are submitted to the university for verification and they return it at the degree completed.
Likes
- RLBCAU has an organized academic management. The faculties have positive teaching style . An advisor is alloted to each student.There are periodic tests in the form of quizzes in the respective courses so that students by heart all the concepts .
- In my campus life,I got to interact with students from 22-23 different states. RLBCAU not only excels in producing good results but it also offers a beautiful ecosystem within which people from different states, cultures, languages dwell together.
Dislikes
- Since the university is recently established, things are not too organized. There is always a room for improvements. Poor facilities and playgrounds for different sporting activities. No indoor stadium for indoor games like badminton, TT,Carrom, etc.
- Less competition among peers as low students strength in the university. You can't predict the extent of actual competition staying here.
Admission:
I had got admission in bsc.hons agriculture in RLBCAU through ICAR UG exam. Applicants must have a degree of 10+2 or equivalent from recognized board in science stream (PCB/PCM/PCMB/ABC). But now, the students need to appear for CUET . Candidates from General and UPS categories must fall within top 50 percentile, while the candidates belonging to SC/ST/pwd categories must secure a minimum of 40 percentile marks to be selected for admission. You can find the application form and other related details on exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/ . SC/ST can secure the admission at very low marks compared to General category students. Every year, NTA conducts CUET-UG exam once in may. NTA should conduct seperate ICAR UG exam for UG admission in SAUs and CAUs. There should be GDPI for the candidates taking admission in RLBCAU for personality and behavior check. University should not allow notorious students as they pollute the campus environment.
