Review of Central University of Himachal Pradesh Dharamshala

Hostel Facilities:

I reside in PG and rent of PG is 4500 rupees per month. Because hostel is very far from university that's why I opted PG which are near by University. And total rent for one year comes around 55000 rupees. And the condition of rooms available in PG is good. And I also went to hostel to check the rooms, so hostel campus is also good rooms are good and there is security it's most important. But only problem with hostel is that it's too far from university and I can not do this much daily traveling.

Teachers are very good,but infrastructure is an issue

Hostel Facilities:

The building of hostel is on rent by the university in Dharamshala. However, the rooms are very fine. There are rooms with the capacity of 2,3 and 4 students in it. Rooms have tiles and solar geyser is also there. Tea is provided twice in a day. There's mandatory bus service for students who go to far campus as two are located at Dharamshala, one at Shahpur and other at Dehra. Students of Dehra campus donot get hostel. Which course is in which department is provided on the website: cuhimachal.ac.in

Life at Central University of Himachal Pradesh

Campus Life:

Campus life was Praiseworthy and Enjoyful. There was independence day celebration, Republic day celebration in the month of August and January respectively. The range and accessibility of books and journals were good enough. Sports and extracurricular activities were occasionally.

Central University Of Himachal Pradesh, Shahpur campus, Kangra review

Campus Life:

There are no fests held(sorry if i am forgetting any) at the campus. Maybe at Dharamshala campus but none at Shahpur campus(where i studied). The library is small but books are plenty for all the courses if the University. But, slighly outdated. The classes are below par in infrastructure. MCA class wee held in CR 12 where benches were below par and a laptop couldn't be used in a comfortable manner. The IT lab however, was upto standards with good systems in place. Sports and extracurricular activites were slim to none. There were no student groups but you could join student political groups(ABVP,NSUI) if you are into that. RSS was also there.

Lack of good food. Because mess is very bad food.

Campus Life:

Student participation and college support are both necessary for a dynamic campus environment. Supporting independence for students entails building the necessary infrastructure for social life and fostering new chances.

CUHP has no its own campus and running their half courses in Shahpur some in Dharamshala and some in Dehra. Library is too small with limited stocks of books edition for every department, wi_fi facility id up to mark and classrooms are on share basis. University also NSS program in which students takes part as volunteer.
