IIT Jammu M.Tech Medical Devices Fees

The M.Tech Medical Devices programme at IIT Jammu follows the same fee structure as other M.Tech programmes at the institute. SC/ST/PH students are fully exempt from tuition fees, while General/OBC/EWS students pay Rs. 20,000 per semester as tuition fee. The semester fee includes residential charges of approximately Rs. 19,330 per semester for regular students. Security deposit of Rs. 10,000 is fully refundable at the time of leaving the institute.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold a B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc./B.Pharm/MBBS degree in Biomedical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Ecology and Evolution, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science and Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology, Textile Engineering and Fibre Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics, with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA (55% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS candidates).
A valid GATE score in one of the accepted paper codes is mandatory: BM, AG, BT, XL, XE, EY, CY, CH, ES, EE, EC, IN, CS, TF, ME, PH.
Candidates must also have a minimum of 60% marks in Class X and Class XII (relaxation of 5% for reserved categories in either X or XII).
IIT graduates with a minimum CGPA of 8.0 in B.Tech are eligible for direct admission without GATE (supernumerary seats).

Admission Process
