If You live near mohali and looking for forensics then don't you dare to get admission in any other colleges

Likes

The campus infrastructure is good and availability of different kinds of food.
The forensic science faculty is well educated and knowledgeable and take interactive lectures.
Share PPts and precise material to study from and mid sem tests contain ques of last year ptu exams.

Dislikes

At the time of admission, they didn't tell about the extra fees like fest fees, placement fees.
Don't have specific books to study which results in getting messed up of all the units.

Placement Experience:

The college doesn't provide you the opportunity for internships, if you want to do one then you need to find by your own self in 3rd year. College will provide opportunities for placements and highest package of 2025 (3rd year students ) is 9 lakhs per annum and this will surely increase with upcoming years

The hoastel facilities they are providing aree very good the mess food is also decent in taste.
The friendly environment in the campus ranging free campus safety for all.
Specially the orention program they do fir the new students.

Dislikes

Hoastel timing for boys and girls both are not good.
Their are many restrictions in the campus.
The ptu the main problem in exams about supplimentary.

Placement Experience:

Placement in the college is like there is a specific cell called dcpd which is only responsible for the placement of the students this provides the best knowledge for the students which is the demand in Today's industry they train you for the interview and clear the hr round this much they train you and the companies like Deloitte accenture many other visit to campus for mass recruitment.

My college experience.

Likes

The environment of our college is decent.
Gender ratio in our college is also good .
The faculty here are very supportive and helpful.

Dislikes

There is shortage of books in the library and the books are old fashioned and not updated.
They ask for semester and hostel fees four months before hand.
Hostel and mess food is very average and sometimes it goes below that level also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our degre is under IKGPTU and university's cpurse curriculum is followed. The curriculum is good enough and includes subjects that has some practical usage. For example,subjects like DSA in 3rd sem are very important from placement point of view .C,C++ in the first year and JAVA with DSA in the 5th sem are some of the important subjects.

Life at cgc Jhanjeri

Likes

Faculty is very helpful and cooperative with students.
The environment is really good and all green.
It is no ragging campus for both girls and boys.

Dislikes

Ac's are not provided in the classrooms.
Food quality is good but can be improved in the mess.

Placement Experience:

Asi have seen and heard the placement program of the college is really good the highest package of the college is around 53 LPA which is quite good for a undergraduated students. Many national and international companies come here for the placement program.

Ig I talk about placement yes every student of every department gets the placement, its on student how he performs in exams , If I talk about package highest lpa package was 50 lakhs something and minimum maybe is 1 lakh lpa

Rivew about chandigarh group of colleges,jhanjeri

Likes

The infrastructure in my cllg is improving day by day when I came to college there are only 3 blocks now I am in 5 semester and now there are more than 5 blocks with some more are constructing
The functions of the parties arranged for the students in the cllg are awesome with new celebrity in the college
Green campus as there are alot of greenery in our college

Dislikes

There is less practical as professor work on completion of syllabus
Less campus opportunities for the courses like bca and bba

Placement Experience:

The placement get started from 4 sem onwards they charge 3500 for placements and the placement is quite good as they provide placement but it can be not in the technical field for bca as some of my friends placed in companies with the position of recruiter tele sales etc as technical companies are less than other companies for bca

Likes

The environment of our college is supportive to the student and our college id anti-ragging.
The ratio of girls and boys are almost same
The Teacher is supportive and make students comfortable during classes.

Placement Experience:

The college gives the on campus placement in our college and the highest package of our college is going 44Lpa in 2024 placement and other students gets average placement6Lpa and some students gets 20 lpa , 34lpa.

The real look for the college

Likes

I liked the environment of the college because its very echo friendly and very suspicious.
I like how some of the faculty treats the students they are very polite and they have very good nature too .
I like the infrastructures of college its beautiful from outside and inside too .

Dislikes

I don't like how they bother the students for the admit card because of pending fees .
I don't like the way they force to pay the semester fee before the previous examination.
I also don't like that this college don't support punjabi culture the way the had to because they do not appreciate there willings.

Placement Experience:

The placements are good but most of the companies prefer sales department from 5 th semester students get eligible for placements and the highest package in my knowledge is 45 lpa in btech the companies that come to college are wipro, amazon, and many other do my plan is to get placed and i am trying too.

Genuine Review of College

Likes

The campus and hostels are clean and well maintained. They take care of cleanliness in every block, playground and restrooms of the college.
The college stands on its no ragging policy and really the incidents of ragging is less than the other colleges.
The events held in college is of quite a good numbers

Dislikes

Some teachers don't actually care about about students and their doubts and try to ignore them.
There is a shortage of books in the library.Also the books are old fashioned and not updated to latest model.
They ask for the semester and hostel fees 4 months before hand.

Placement Experience:

When you get to 5th or 6th semester you become eligible for pre-placement programme.The highest package of our college is 65 LPA on campus and average package turns out to be around 4-5 LPA.The percentage of students placed varies from course to course. In my B.tech course the placement percentage is around 40%.Some famous companies like Accenture, Makes360,Deloitte came for recruitment.

Likes

Everything is fine in the college I would like to appreciate the quality of education.
Campus have perfect area of 60 acres so there's no worry about it also students are very social.
Library is also huge almost every book is available.

Dislikes

Some faculties are very unfriendly and they talk rudely.
Placements services are good but they don't give any specialized training to first year students.
There is improvements needed in class infrastructure.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As AI&DS is a growing field and vast career opportunities so I choose this field. The curriculum not prepares very much about the real world applications. They should improve the way of teaching and subjects content. Exams are not very much frequent they usually occur in 1.5-2 months also the difficulty of exams is average.

My cousin studies at CGC Jhanjeri and it's a nice and average place to be. Following are some issues though, which may be burdensome:

If you wish to go out during college hours then you will need to get an application signed by the CC and the HOD. The process itself will take up a lot of time.
Girls can stay out up to 7 pm in summers and 6 pm in winters and you can step out to roam in the campus by 4:30 and you will have to return in two hours to avoid sending a call home.
You should have at least a 75% attendance like most colleges, but it will be evaluated every 15 days. You will have to attend 75% of 15 days to avoid detention during the Monthly Sessional Tests of MSTs.
The campus is verdant and hygienic and it has a playground, but it is surrounded by grasslands on all sides up to 5 Kms. It has all the basic amenities like stationery shops, sports ground, pool, games room, etc.
Even transportation is an issue and autos and buses are the only way but quite time-consuming.

Hostel, mess food, cleanliness, room Sharing are not any issues at all. You will not have to worry about ragging too. You can go to Chandigarh for shopping after getting your passbook filled and signed by the Warden.

However, you cannot bunk because the campus is small, you can get discovered very easily and may face some good punishment. As for placements, it all depends upon research-based hard work and skills. Major companies do visit for recruitment.
