IIIT Kalyani Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The college has very good placement packages. In upcoming years college can easily compete with the top institute of India in terms of placement. The college has a record of 100% placement. The highest package was around 19 LPA and the average salary package was around 11 LPA. The college placement committee is very responsible and they completely help us in college placement rounds so that every participating member is placed.

The college placement is fully responsible for the placement process and they fully cooperate with us and help us to crack every round of placement so that we can receive good packages. The highest package for the batch was around 18 LPA and the average salary package is around 12 LPA.

Unfortunately, I disqualified from JOSSA 2020 counseling due to some error so I have to go for further CSAB round and there according to my choice preferences and my rank I got IIIT Kalyani, WB with stream CSE. Despite of having a very high fee demand the college is still at low condition.This college doesn't have its own campus yet which is under construction and is stopped due to this COVID pandemic but as mentor college of IIIT Kalyani has changed to IIT Kharagpur we have now our permanent director Prof. Santanu Chattopadhyay, so it is being hoped that the condition of college will be improved. Although students are here dedicated for their carrer and future and supportive to each other.

the admission process is same as any other iiit,nit and iit. you have to fill the choices of college and branch in josaa website. and according to the rank and your choices you will get allotment to college. and by end of last round you have to report in college. well my reason of preferring this college is simple it's a central government college and i want to choose specifically computer science branch and in my rank i wasn't getting any nit or other top iiits.

The placement of our college is increasing every year. Since being new IIIT, we have got our permanent Director this year, this would definitely increase our placements stats for sure. Taking about the current scenario, We have the highest package of 17 LPA by JIo and an average package of 7.8 LPA in (2017-21) batch. About 80% of students were placed.

The student gets eligible from the 5th to 6th semester. The companies that visited the last year are Adobe, JIO, etc. The highest package is 17 LPA and is 12-13 LPA. As per last year mostly 70% got the placement, some with campus and some off-campus, and some also went for further studies.

IIIT Kalyani is an institute of national importance and choosing CSE in central government college will always be beneficial. After qualifying in JEE mains you can come here by counseling process.It is emerging and being a CS engineer if you will study (not so hard but regularly) then you can easily get around 15-20 lpa .Now comes on the bad aspects. IIITK has not permanent campus but construction is going so fast and I hope within an year there will be campus.

Infrastructure: We have all the technologies that a college should have in terms of academics. Classrooms are well-equipped with projector and sound system. We have sufficient books in the library to meet all our needs. For sports, we have everything needed for our skill development.Faculty: As it is mentored by IIT Kharagpur, the course curriculum meets the industrial demands and is very relevant. The teachers here are very helpful and the qualifications mentioned on the site are all true.Placements: Placements in our college are going above. This year, not many students were placed, but some got placed in Jio with a package of 17 LPA, and the drives are still going on. I have full belief that the stats will rise in the upcoming years. This year, due to pandemic, the placements were affected.Other: We have multiple events hosted in the entire year. The campus is not much crowded, and you have all the opportunity to pursue whatever you want to do, be it dance, music, sports, coding or anything.PS: This year only , we got our permanent director, so the stats will absolutely be at its peak now.

It being a IIIT is specialized institute for the branch which it teaches. Being for CSE many non-CSE subjects weren't to be in course.I joined here for my interest in CSE specific and for the culture of IIIT

IIITK is Close to my home, it has the status of institute of national importance and the avg package for CSE is 6.5 lpa which is quite better than most of the college in West Bengal. I got this college at the last round of Josa counseling .Before admission, I have checked the official website of iiitk.ac.in and found that all teachers are highly qualified here and most of them are graduated from highly reputable institutes like iitk,ju etc- .
