EXPERIENCE AT IIIT KALYANI

Faculty:

faculty here is good their way of teaching is understandable,but we may feel difficult at the start,eventually you get habituated.Here CSE faculty is good in my opinion because they help us to improve our logical thinking and the questions which they give are excellent, i personally dont like maths sir here because his explanation is not good and its hard to understand.Like every other college you have mid sems and end smes coming to their standard if you pay attention to classes mid sem exams are easy because they are not that high in standard you may feel this because you are still in 1st year,i am also from 1st year , standard of paper may increase eventually end are good if you ask me. Yeah you can write exam without any tension if you study good

Don't join if you don't care about the iiit tag cause we have poor college life

Faculty is also humble and down to earth.

The faculty members are all very nice and grounded people you will get proper guidance if you reach out. I liked the most is Amit Ranjan sir and uma das mam they are very knowledgeable of their own field and also help us with things other than academics.

Journey to start and Journey till the end

The faculty to student ratio is not very bad as in a class of 80 students there is a teacher and relatiosnhip is good since the faculty is pretty approachable I liked saumen pandit sir although his voice is a bit low but the material he prepares is good and he is the most approachable faculty till now i dont like Anirban laxman sir he is our maths teacher and he pre assumes that we have all the knowledge of maths also he only provides us with one part of his material not the rest there will only be 2 exams conducted for a semester that is mid sem and end sem and better every exam the teacher may take class test or viva or some kind of interview for 10 marks, the exams are not that difficult if you learn the concept well All the faculty is well qualfied and well educated all the phd degree holders and we have lab assistant as phd scholars and they are well qualified and skillled the only problem you may face is the language problem as most the faculty members are not good in english

Professors- Highly Skilled and Knowledgeable Professor.

Faculty to Student ratio is around 1:30 . So there are not many Professors and during the project work. The professors have a very busy schedule as they have 3-4 groups under their guidance. The faculty at IIIT kalyani are highly qualified and have a very vast knowledge in their respective fields. Such as Faculty like Dr. Debashish Bera sir specialized in Coding Theory. Dr Sanjoy Pratihar sir teaches subjects like Database Management Systems and Automata Theory and Applied Mathematics. Dr. SK Hafizul Islam sir teaches subjects like DSA and Blockchain.

Thriving at IIIT Kalyani: An insider's perspective

Faculties are well qualified , most have Phd from IITs. They will genuinely help you if you approach them. They will even help you personally if you approach them.

Faculty to student ratio is around 10:1 which is pretty good. They will help you if you approach them in any field or topic. Faculties are well qualified, students don't like teaching of few teachers. But to be honest, at the end of the day, you will be dependent upon you tube only. One can interact or approach a faculty during working hours and they will give you genuine time for one to one guidance.

My overall experience regarding IIIT Kalyani as a Student

Teachers are helpfull,Faculties are also helpful

I contact with the Faculties quite often. The professors are decent. But all are not same. Some will give us notes and some will not. Some professors are very kanjoos with giving marks, sometimes the level of questions asked in the exam are not in the level of what is being taught in the class. And well the faculty to student ratio is close to 1:35.

The faculty of the college is friendly and well experienced. Most of the professors are of PhD level and have industrial exposure. The college faculty not only help student in their academic performance but also motivate us to take part in extra-curricular activities especially in sports as they believe that a healthy body keeps your brain healthy and active.
