Likes

Ragging culture is not much practised in our college.Seniors in our college are quite helpful and supportive.
Office staff is quite good,they will help you out in every possible way regarding scholarships.
First night fest is planned this year in our college.

Dislikes

College life is next to zero,you don't really enjoy in this college,all you have to do is to study.
There is no social life in this city, entertainment is quite rare in this city.
Mess Food is worst,only breakfast is ok,else everything is bad.

Placement Experience:

From 3 year student are eligible to get placed according to there skills,don't expect anything from the college. Jio,TCS,Wipro,Amazon,Deloitte etc are the companies that visited our college,hopefully they have selected some of our students. According to last year statistics 26 lakhs was the highest in campus placement offered by Amazon and 47 lakhs was the highest off campus placement also offered from Amazon 89 percent of students were placed of the last batch that passed.

Likes

faculty is good. all professors are well educated and highly profession
seniors are understanding and hardworking
batchmates are nice and friendly. its good

Dislikes

food isnt that good. its sometimes tasteless too
people arent that nice here. they are rude sometimes
hygiene is an issue here . people are highly unhygienic

Placement Experience:

campus placement was good until last year. our average package was somewhere about 13 lacs and our highest package was 26 lacs . this year due to worldwide regression in tech sector we are facing difficulties with placements.

Placement Experience:

From the 6th semester, students are eligible for placement, I don't know the exact number of offers but 20 companies visited our college. Avarage package is 18 lakh per year and a maximum of 46 lakh/per year. Students need more than 9 cgpa to get placement.

faculty of our college they are phd holders from different IIT.

Placement Experience:

as all iiit are growing so fast year by year same our college is also improving earling tehre was average package was 8 lakh per annum but now currently ot was 12.76 lakh average package per annum and median package was 12 lakh.

My college is growing a lot, it will take sufficient time to become good.

Likes

Wi-Fi is available in the hostel and college .
seniors are cooperative and don't tolerate ragging.
There was more focus on tech and fest so i liked it.

Dislikes

campus is not available so i disliked it.
there are less classes and labs in the college.
fees for both are very high college and hostel.

Placement Experience:

placements at my college are also poor. average package is 12 lakh per annum but placement is not there. and the highest package is 26 lakh Very few students got on-campus placement. most of the students have applied for campus placement.

Likes

the college is good because its situated near railway station.
the classrooms and faculty members are supportive

Dislikes

there are lacs of books in library and library timing
i do not like the food and water facilities available in hostel

Placement Experience:

the placement record is good enough throughout the year. there are many companies visited just as jio, Infosys,wipro, etc. the highest package is 27 LPA(on campus) and 46 LPA (off campus). almost 85 percent of students got placements this year.

Good but can be better

Placement scenario is good. If someone works hard he/she will get a decent placement.
Office staff are good. They will help you in every way possible regarding scholarships, bank loan , any academic documents requirement
New hostel which is currently under construction is quite good

Dislikes

Faculty is average. Not at all good. One need to study on his/her own.
Current hostel rooms are small and hostel toilets are very unheigenic.
No social life is here in this college. No fest had been held till now.

Placement Experience:

Placement scenarios are good Avg package is 12.75 lacks Medium package is 12 lacks Nearly 90-100 percent placement is there Highest package (on campus is 27lacks and off campus is 54 lacks from amazon) Good companies visit here

IIIT Kalyani: An honest review

Likes

The faculty is highly qualified and they love to help you if you show interest in their teaching.
The senior-junior culture here is really good and there is no chance of ragging.
The mess food is really good on like 50 percent occassion of the week which i would say is a win win.

Dislikes

Lack of permanent campus is really a bane. It restricts us from a lot of activities.
The bus system is really hectic. It increases body fatigue and reduces efficiency.
The locality of hostel is at the outskirts from the main city of Kalyani.

Placement Experience:

As far as I know which is based on rumours and can be wholly wrong too is that the average on-campus placment this placement drive is about 16 lpa and maximum off campus is about 53 lpa. I dont know how many get placed. I am not sure what i am going to do after completing my degree but i might tilt towards GATE examination.

In my college I like professor teaching style
And also the course structure provided by the college
And placement facility thats looks good in the college

Dislikes

My college has no own campus it is in another buliding
In July 2024 college has there own permanant campus

Placement Experience:

I think in my college from 7th semester you have to eligible for placement In my college Amazon, Tata, Infosys, Tec Mahindra etc companies comes Highest package this year is 32 LPA and average package is 12 LPA My plans is to work in MNCS

Placement and internship oppurtunities and course structure
Tech fests and tech clubs like gdsc and hackathon
Hostel life and sports oppurtunities like inter iiit sports fest

Dislikes

Till now our permanent campus is not ready
Fees is a little bit on a higher side..it should be reduced

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester the students become eligible for placement.. Highest on campus placement is rs 26 lakhs and off campus is rs 45 lakhs for the batch of 2022.. Average is rs 12 lakhs Placement percentage is 100 percent
