Yearly fee strucuture is nearly around 3.5 lakh and there are some scholarships but i dont know much about that. One of my friend (who is SC) gets scholarship via Govt. and its 100% the college fee .

Fees and Financial Aid:

Tuition fees paid (Rs. 250000 per year) Rs. 100000- Hostel fees paid (25000 per year) Mess fees paid 4000 per month (on a pro rata basis) - amounts to around 32000 per year (as it is charged only for 8 months during which semester is going on) No fees concession for SC/ST, but scholarships are available

A descent college if not well scored in Jee mains

Fees and Financial Aid:

The yearly tution fees is 275000 and mess fee is 33000 and hostel rent is 27500. Caution money is 5000 and is onetime and refundable. It is not increased yearly for the enrolled students. There are lots of scholarship for SC ST students. And there is loan policy too for students. It is bit pricy for middle class family.

IIIT Guwahati (College which get often confused with IIT Guwahati)

Fees and Financial Aid:

Tution fees- 250000 , hostel fees- 27000 , mess fees-23000 and 5000 caution fees is also taken once. There is no relaxation in fees for category students. No scholarship is provided by the college. But you can apply the scholarship outside.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fee structure is for 2024-2025 batch. Tuition fee per semster: 1,37,500 Tuition fee Per Year: 2,75,000. Institute Caution money: 5000(one time refundable after completion of Graduation). Hostel Rent per semster: 13,750 Mess Fee per sem: 16,000. There will be both state and Central scholarship available in the college, SC,ST,BC(for BC few schemes are there you need enquires for those). For Easy process always choose central scholarshipLike National Scholarship Portal(NSP) is good. for state E-PASS for Telangana people. There will be different state scheme available in every state. In this scheme every student get complete tuition fee and some part of hostel fee. for better process and ammount choose Central Scheme's. For merit cum students there will be no particular discount. if any student have income certificate and any scheme student can apply NSP The fee structure will increase every 3 years . students can check the college official website for more details and fee pattern .

My brother has studied here and as per him, fee waiver scholarships are actually not a part of IIIT Guwahati. My brother has not encountered anyone in requirement of a scholarship program held by IIIT Guwahati.

At the same, contrary to any scholarship programs, there are several students in the institute who have availed themselves of education loans for further studies. They are managing circumstances at their personal levels, and none of their financial weights are provided or funded by the institution itself.

You can get in touch with the administration and get hold of any crucial information. They can tell you about any scholarship program actually run and funded by the institute. They will provide you valuable information more than anybody in the student area.

In a nutshell, IIIT Guwahati does not receive any known funds from the government for meeting recurring expenditure (or in particular, any running expenses).

IIIT Guwahati offers scholarships to all their students, both undergraduate and postgraduate. The details are as follows:

Institute Merit Scholarship (IMS) -

Eligibility: Toppers in the class across all streams are awarded this scholarship from the second year onwards.

Scholarship awarded – Students are provided a fixed stipend per month for 2 semesters amounting to INR 500 per month, and the tuition fee will be waived for 2 semesters

Institute Merit (McM) Awards for Scholarships -

Eligibility: Meritorious students from the non-SC/ST category pursuing B.Tech., B.Des, M.Sc., or MA are eligible for an institute merit-cum-means scholarship. Must pass 10+2 with an annual tuition fee of more than INR 30,000 per annum.

Scholarship awarded – 25% of students are provided a fixed stipend per month for 2 semesters amounting to INR 1000 per month, and the tuition fee will be waived for 2 semesters . The decision is solely based on the merits of the student and the recommendations of the scholarship committee.

SC/ST Scholarships –

Eligibility: Meritorious students from the SC/ST category pursuing B.Tech., B.Des, M.Sc., or MA are eligible

Scholarship Awarded: Students are provided a stipend for eight months of INR 500 each month, free mess service, and a reduction in hostel seat rent

The Indian Women's Association (IWAB) in Bonn Scholarship:

Eligibility: Awarded to female candidates in undergraduate courses studying in their first year.

Scholarship Awarded: A scholarship is awarded based on the annual income of the parents. 100 points will be assigned based on the income of the parents and merit (50% each). Students must apply in the even semester, and the SPI of the student must be 7 for the candidate to qualify for the scholarship.

There are various processes involved in the IIIT Guwahati scholarship selection process:

Students are notified about the scholarship programmes through various mediums, like the website, notice board, and email.
Interested students have to first fill out the application and submit the form with supporting documents before the due date.
The Department of Scholarship is involved in the evaluation of the application based on critical factors such as merit, eligibility, and other listed factors that are necessary for qualification during the time of the announcement.
Based on the committee’s evaluation, the list is finalised with the details of all the students who are eligible for the scholarship.
The final approval is solely of the director on the final list of scholarship recipients.
The prepared and finalised list is released depending on the scholarship that is offered. Some results are declared in October and November; else in April and May.
The Finance and Accounts department is responsible for paying the scholarships to the selected students after completing the necessary clearance from the Student's Affairs section.
