IIIT Guwahati: an honest review

Placement Experience:

Campus placements of the college are decent, considering the circumstances of the industry. Students become eligible to sit for placements in the 7th semester. The placement season is still ongoing. Some companies that visited include Tekion, Alteryx, De Shaw Samsung, Deloitte, CGI, Natwest, etc. Some students have secured placements through off campus means at major product based companies like Google, Flipkart and Amazon. So far, around 70% of the students have been placed. The highest package has been more than 50 LPA while the average in previous years hovered around 14 LPA. A descent college if not well scored in Jee mains

Placement Experience:

When i came to college the placements were descently high. At that time placements were 99% and with highest package 1.2Cr . But after recession in industry the placement went down to 60% of CSE with average of 14.5LPA. And highest of around 52 LPA. One can also opt for masters after college. I might also do.

The students from 5th semester are eligible for Internship programs by the college they can get off campus internship before also for placement after 6th semester the students are eligible . Placement Experience:

After the 3rd year, you are pretty much eligible for placements or at least after 6th sem. A lot of companies visit every year including Myntra, Microsoft, Atlassian, Flipkart, etc. The highest package in 2024 is 80 lpa and the average is 15 lpa with a median salary of 13 lpa for CSE. For ECE the average package was 14 lpa and the median was 12 lpa. 93 out of 134 students got placed in CSE The placement percentage for ECE is pretty low as most of them go for higher studies.
