There will be proper space for two tables and chairs. The rooms in the hostel have proper ventilation.

If the student wants to sleep on the floor, they can remove the double-decker beds from their room. They will be provided with two cupboards in one room, each for a student. The students can put all their belongings there.

IIIT Guwahati has two canteens, one in the hostel building and one in the academic building.

The canteen at IIIT Guwahati is average. It is just like the ones that are common among all the government colleges. It is not much developed and high standard, however, it serves its purpose.
The canteens at both the girls’ and boys’ hostel are allowed to operate till late at night. The canteen in the academic building is operated from 10 am to 11 pm.
There is also a food van available that delivers food directly to the hostel.
The mess service at IIIT Guwahati is just fine. It serves three-time meals; breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Students at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati (IIIT Guwahati) do not have to live in hostels. Every student gets allocated a room, and they are free to choose whether to stay on campus. The college doesnt charge the hostel fees upfront but they collect the amount on a pro-rata basis if the student is staying on campus
