Placement Experience:

The placement of our college is pretty good compared to other colleges due to the legacy and the college tag. Form the 7th semester they get elegible for campus placement. There are a lot of prestigious colleges comming here a few are Nvidia, qualcomm, Google, microsoft and other billion dollar companies. The highest package goes up to 1Cr and avarage is about 30Lakhs. Almost 70 to 80 percent get placed and others ppt for higher degree. My plans after getting the degree is to start a company.

This is called as practice school and most students receive call for placements from the companies that hired them for practice school. And the placements in BITS is really good . Also all three campuses are placed together. Around 89 percentage got placed in the year 22-23 with average around 20 lpa. I plan to do masters after I get my degree.

The average package for B.E. in ECE is close to 20.5 LPA, and the median package is close to 18.6 LPA. The department has a good faculty. Some of the teachers don’t teach very well, but they are very supportive. The department offers all the necessary facilities and opportunities.

ECE is the second most sought after branch at BITS. You can consider pursuing your B.E. ECE from BITS Hyderabad.

How are the placements of dual degree programs at BITS Hyderabad?

The dual degree placements at BITS Hyderabad depend upon several factors. Some of them are-

The combination of dual degree, and if it complements your B.E. branch. Like Math+CS is a brilliant combination, and ECO will get you a decent core placement. Similarly, Physics+EEE/EnI/Mech/ECE will be much more beneficial than a simple B.E.

But everything depends on the company that you wish to apply for. Financial companies have a cutoff, but unless you have studied Economics, they won’t care about your B.E. and MSc. degrees.

2. Certain old school companies do not even allow dual degree students to sit for their placements. Such companies are few in number.

However, most companies won’t pay heed to your MSc. degree, simply because the concept of an MSc.+B.E. is unique to BITS. So at the end, your B.E. degree will most probably get you placed.

Thus, your dual degree at BITS Hyderabad won’t serve you much in terms of placements. Most companies will look at the B.E. part of it.

I completed my B.E. CSE from BITS Hyderabad in 2021. Thus, I can share with you the placement statistics for my batch.

As on 3rd December 2021, 91.73% was the placement percentage for our batch. The median salary was 27.5 LPA, the highest salary was 43.31 LPA, and the average salary was 26.8 LPA.

These records are quite impressive, and at par with the top IITs, Pilani, Goa, and IIIT Hyderabad. As for placements, BITS Pilani is the best, followed by Goa, and then Hyderabad.
