I got a comfirmed admission from AMITY University and I eventually rejected that college because of the brand value of BITS. We have to clear an entrance exam called BITSAT which is the second toughest exam after JEE Advanced. The cutoffs for various courses anre dynamic as it depends on the student preferences over the years.
I applied to IIT, NIT, UPTU and BITS. I choosed BITS because of its brand value and the kind of exposure it provides to the students along with freedom. I was not able to make it to IIT due the the low rank.
I had top IITs as my first priority, but did not score well in JEE Advanced so I turned to BITS where I scored pretty well. And BITS Pilani is a university as good and as well respected as IIT. And I chose Hyderabad though I got both Pilani and Goa campus because it is closer to my home and I had relatives here, also the fact that in my Degree it's going to be BITS Pilani without the mention of campus, so it doesn't make a big difference.BITS alumini Network is considered to be even better than IITs.
The other college I applied for our god is seat is Assam University for B.E computer science and engineering. I choose BITS Pilani over Assam University is because BITS Pilani has a better environment for startups and good opportunities for students.
BITS was my first preference cause it's in the city i live in and i would get to experience the hostel Life being in my own city as hostel here is mandatory. Everyone needs to write BITSAT for admission.

I got confirmed seat in NIT GOA CSE BTECH as well. I chose BITS HYD CS due to better brand name and better coding culture compared to the choices i had at the time. Admission is based on scores of BITSAT exam only. There is special entry for Board toppers of respective boards aswell.

I had a decent percentile in JEE Mains and got a decent rank in advanced too.In the Bitsat I got 278 marks. Apart from these I gave only the ComedK exam and got a good rank there (was getting Rv cse). From the jossaa counselling I got IIT BHU Mining. But considering the placements and overall environment of the colleges I chose BITS over them.

The things that made me choose bits Pilani over other other colleges are that first thing it's it has a good placement ratio. It has it has a merit merit entry. Don't know no reservation. Kota is there so every person coming into campus has come through merit only.
I gave JEE for admission in IITS, failing to secure a good branch in the top IITS, I sought the next best option which was BITS. The exam for admission in BITS is BITSAT which is similar to JEE mains in its format, but has english and oogical reasoning as additional subjects.

I applied to most tier 2 IITs. The reason I chose this college was the flexible curriculum they have. 0% attendance policy along with the flexibility of making your own time table makes it easier for students to find their own interests and excel in them. BITSAT is the way to get into BITS, unless you are a stateboard topper. The cutoff is around 230/360 marks. The exam level is near to JEE Mains. The admission process is handled by students and is very smooth.
