BIT Pilani Hyderabad admission are based on entrance exams conducted by the institute itself. BITS Hyderabad offers First Degree programs such as BE, BPharm and integrated M.Sc programs. Admission to these courses are offered based on BITSAT Score. Further, BITS Hyderabad offers 12 M.E. courses and M.Pharm course on higher degree level. The admission to these programs is offered as per BITS HD Exam. The candidates can also apply using their GATE and GPAT scores.
BITS Hyderabad also offers admission to the Ph.D. program on the basis of an entrance test and interview conducted by the institute. BITS Hyderabad B.E & B.Pharm Admission 2025
BITS Hyderabad offers B.E and B.Pharm in different specializations as its First Degree programs. The minimum eligibility is 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology as mandatory subjects along with proficiency in English. Students seeking admission to B.E and B.Pharm programs must have obtained at least 75% marks in aggregate and 60% marks in each of the subjects.
Shortlisted candidates have to appear in BITSAT conducted by BITS Hyderabad. Final admission is granted on the basis of merit in 10+2 and score in BITSAT followed by counseling at BITS Hyderabad.

BITSAT Test Format:
BITSAT is a Computer-Based-Test for the duration of three hours with four sections. Each correct answer will give you three marks while a wrong answer will result in the penalty of one mark. It consists of a total of 4 sections as discussed below:

BITS Hyderabad BE & BPharm Cutoff 2025
Initially, candidates have to apply on the basis of minimum criteria given by the institute in 10+2. After that shortlisted candidates will be called to take BITSAT. Final admission will be offered on the basis of score in BITSAT. Two merit lists are prepared for admission. One for all the programs except for B.Pharm and the other is for B.Pharm only.

BITS Hyderabad ME, M.Pharm & M.Sc Admission 2025
BITS Pilani-Hyderabad offers ME, MSc and MPharm programs in various disciplines at the PG level. The minimum eligibility criteria to apply for these courses is a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university with at least 60% marks in aggregate.
BITS Pilani conducts BITS HD at different centers to grant admission in ME and M.Pharm programs. M.Sc admission is offered on the basis of performance in BITSAT. The candidates can also apply to ME and M.Pharm based on their GATE and GPAT scores respectively.

Important Notes:
- For admission to ME Program, candidates should have completed the bachelor’s degree in the same discipline.
- Candidates with BE/ B.Tech degree in IT are eligible to apply for M.E in Software Engineering only. They are not eligible for M.E in Computer Science.
- Students admitted to the Higher Degree Programs will be considered for Teaching Assistantship/ fee-waiver of INR 13,400 per month.
- The candidates seeking admission to M.Sc should have Mathematics as mandatory subjects in 10+2 and in an undergraduate courses. M.Sc is a 5-year integrated first-degree program at BITS.

BITS Hyderabad Ph.D. Admission 2025
BITS Pilani-Hyderabad offers a Ph.D. program in full-time and part-time modes. A master’s degree in the relevant discipline with at least 60% marks in aggregate is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission. Candidates are selected based on the merit in the Departmental Entrance Test and Interview.
Admission under Ph.D. Aspirant Scheme: Industries and R & D Organizations collaborating with BITS can sponsor candidates for the Ph.D. program under this scheme.
CSIR-UGC NET/ DBT-JRF/ UGC NET-JRF Scholarship holders and GATE qualified students are also eligible to take admission to the Ph.D. program and will be exempted from taking the Departmental test.

- Part-time Ph.D. is mainly for people who are already working. They should work in places that support research and have basic research facilities.
- Candidates should have a minimum of one year work experience in related field for part-time PhD.
- All full-time Ph.D. students can get a fellowship for up to 5 years.

- Financial assistance is not provided to the candidates under PhD (Part Time) program.
Admission Test for Ph.D. in (Biological Science/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Physics)
Students have to qualify for two tests. Test I is common for all disciplines and Test II is subject-specific.
Test I consists of 30 MCQs pertaining to General Science, Quantitative Reasoning & Analysis and Research Aptitude. Each correct will fetch 2 marks a wrong answer results in the deduction of 0.5 marks.
Test II consists of 70 subject-related MCQs. Each correct will fetch 2 marks a wrong answer results in the deduction of 0.5 marks.
Admission Test for Ph.D. in (Languages/ Humanities/ Economics): Students have to qualify in two tests. The test I is common for all disciplines and Test II is subject-specific.

BITS Hyderabad Admission Process 2025
BITS Hyderabad offers admission to Integrated First Degree ( FD) programs like BE, B.Pharm, and M.Sc courses in four ways. These are:
- Through BITSAT: Students must take the BITSAT exam. Admission is based on the score in this test.
- Board Toppers: Students who got 1st rank in Class 12 in their board can get direct admission.
- PCM toppers can choose any course.
- PCB toppers can take only B.Pharm.
- International Students: Students with a foreign passport and SAT score of 1160 or more can apply without BITSAT.
- BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy: Students who take BITSAT can also apply for this. They will get two degrees – one from BITS Hyderabad and one from RMIT Australia.
For admission to Higher degree (HD) programs such as ME and MPharm, BITS conducts BITS HD entrance exam. Students with valid GATE or GPAT scores can also apply for these programs.

BITS Pilani-Hyderabad admission process is conducted online. For both UG and PG courses, students must take the respective BITS entrance exams. The process starts when the application form is released. After the exam, students must register for counselling based on their scores to secure their admission.

Ans. Yes, the candidate is eligible to apply for the part-time Ph.D. program. The candidate will have to provide the NOC at the time of the admission test.
Ques. If a candidate has obtained 74.6% marks in PCM aggregate, is he eligible for BE at Bits Hyderabad?
Ans. As per BITS Hyderabad, the candidate has to secure a minimum of 75% marks in aggregare in PCM and 60% in each of the subjects to be eligible for engineering.
Ques. Does BITS Hyderabad offer direct admissions?
Ans. Candidates can get direct admission to BITS Pilani Hyderabad in BE programs in some special cases:
Board Toppers:
- If you are the first rank holder in your state or central board in Class 12 (PCM stream), you can get direct admission. You do not need to take BITSAT.
International Students:
- If you have a foreign passport and a SAT score of 1160 or more, you can also apply without BITSAT.
BITS-RMIT Program:
- If you appear for BITSAT, you can also apply through the BITS-RMIT program. You will get two degrees — one from BITS and one from RMIT, Australia.
For other students, BITSAT is required for admission.
Ques. Do BITS Hyderabad has management quota?
Ans. No, BITS Hyderabad does not have any management quota. All seats are allocated based on merit through either the BITSAT exam or the direct entry routes (Board Toppers or International Students). There is no seat reserved any kind of management quota.
Ques. Can I get admission in BITS Hyderabad without BITSAT exam?
Ans. Candidates cannot apply to the BE program at BITS Hyderabad using JEE Main score. Admission is only given through:
- BITSAT exam – this is mandatory for most students

So, a JEE Main score will not help you apply to BITS Hyderabad.
