- Additionally, the institution recognizes the importance of supporting students financially and offers various avenues for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus employment opportunities.
- Faculties are highly experienced with great knowledge and some of them have good teaching and mentorship style.
- The classes are also very nice, the library is beautiful, well organized and peaceful.
Dislikes
- We get information about scholarships, they are not interested in giving scholarships to poor students like us.
- I disliked the lack of facilities in college sports, or music room facilities gym and all and mess is also not good
- There is one almirah and one table and one bed provided in the hostel but the mess is really not good which was a problem in every college.

The institution is very close to my hometown, and especially ECE dept of NIT Durgapur is very friendly, they help you in every way whether you would pursue higher education or jobs. NIT Durgapur has a lush green campus which makes our 4 years stay a pleasant one.

As i got very less marks i need to choose a university of lower marks. And another main factor is There are many students from our state that is andhra pradesh. The placements are also very good in the college.

Well this was the branch that was alloted to me according to my score and though electrical was one my favourites since 12th class physics the electrostats part was just great so i chose it as an option and then finally I was alloted this

Remarks:
Got the college by JOSAA counselling in the second round. Near my home, only 4 hours of travelling. One of the best institutions in West Bengal you can get through JEE Mains. Campus is pretty big and beautiful. Faculty members are cooperative.

Good placements, nice campus and faculty. It is near to my city and one of the best colleges in West Bengal. It has hostel facility. My branch is very good for Research work and placements. The college is situated in the heart of city and reaching there is easy.

I always wanted to get into an IIT/NIT. Since, I didn't score well enough to get into any IIT, I thought of going into an NIT. Also, this was the nearest NIT from my home, and my parents had asked me not to choose any college too far away. Moreover, NIT Durgapur has sufficiently good placement and other stats. All these factors made me choose this college.

NIT Durgapur was the only NIT college based on my rank and including my reservation that I could get a seat and that too in one of the Core branches. Also, it's proximity to my home town helped me make the decision.

Because it has a good rank in NIRF. It is nearest NIT from my hometown. In my state it is one of best college Iever seen. The facilities are provided not that great but it is satisfied. The food which provided by our mess is familiar with my culture.

This is one of top 7 NITs. It's a very prestigious college and the placement is good here too. The college campus is really nice and the infrastructure is top class. The college environment, fest Jim and all other things are provided by this college.

Here is a detailed review shared by my brother who completed his graduation from NIT Durgapur
- Infrastructure: Honestly, the infrastructure isn’t all that great but will provide all the basic amenities necessary for a good academic environment.
- Faculty: Most students have to resort to self-study because the professors are not very passionate about teaching. However, if you do good projects under a professor, you may be able to pursue a master's in a foreign university.
- Placements: NIT Durgapur has recorded excellent placements. This year the highest CTC offered was INR 70 LPA while the average salary offered was INR 13.64 LPA. The top recruiters included TCS Ninja, PwC, ICICI Bank, Microsoft, and many others. More than 100 recruiters participated in the placement drive and 633 students were placed.
- Opportunities: The NIT tag will open a number of opportunities for you and the alumni network is also quite extensive. You can also avail opportunities like workshops and clubs.
- Campus life: The campus life is very active with many fun-filled events like the freshers' farewell party and celebration of regional festivals. Additionally, a number of cultural and technical fests are also held.
- Administration : The administration is very slow and is not cooperative. You might face some issues.
- Location : NIT Durgapur faces no major connectivity issues. The railway station is 30 mins or 14 km away while the nearest airport is at Andal, which isn't well connected, so Kolkata Airport will be a better option. You can find the Auto rickshaw stand just at the main gate.
Overall, NIT Durgapur is a great place if you are unable to make it to IITs.
