Placement Experience:

Our college placements are wonderful. The company that visits campus are JP morgan, goldman sachs, HSBC, godrej etc, There are around 120 recruiters that visits the campus. The placements are pooled with Delhi campus. The median is 25 lakhs per annum and the average stood at 27.3 lakh per annum. The highest domestic package stood at 75.6 lakhs while highest international stood at 85.4 lakhs.

One is eligible to sit for the summer placements right after the college starts, however the final placements take place somewhere in the fifth trisem. IIFT Kolkata is one of the premier institutes in terms of postgraduate courses in trade & business. Kolkata is the first place where it has chosen to set up its institute apart from Delhi. It has gained a lot of reputation for its international business courses.

Apart from its curriculum; its primary attractive factor is its infrastructure which makes it an even more preferable choice among individuals. The other major details regarding the college are as follows.

Academics:

It primarily offers postgraduate and certificate courses.
MBA, Executive MBA, and Ph.D. are the most preferred courses at the institute.
It is one of the institutes offering a consolidated program for International Business.
Certifications are offered in Capital & Financial Markets, Global Trade Logistics, and Export Management.
The admission to the major courses is through a graduate degree and score in CAT/MAT/XAT / GMAT score.

Fees:

No. Minimal difference exists when it comes to placements, but nothing changes when the quality of education is talked about.IIFT Delhi and Kolkata are sister campuses and not separate branches like IIMs are. You will be taught by common professors, get the same degree upon graduating. Both campuses go through the same academic rigor, led by the common administration. Even the competitions open for IIFT Delhi are inherently open for the Kolkata campus as well.

Placements are common, the administration is common, Kolkata has a better infrastructure, they have the same academic rigor in both the campuses, the competitions open for IIFT Delhi is automatically open for Kolkata as well, even if it is written IIFT Delhi in the eligibility criteria of the Corporate competitions.

Though the placements are common for both the campuses, I have heard that a few companies consider only IIFT Delhi students. You may even face some discrimination outside your campus life, as people are not fully aware of the IIFT structure. Some think that IIFT Delhi and Kolkata are different B Schools operating independently, thus creating the ground for inequity.

Hence, IIFT Kolkata is not a bad choice, but IIFT Delhi has certain privileges. In case you convert to IIFT Kolkata, you will enjoy the common perks as well.

Yes, there is a 100% placement for all the candidates. IIFT Kolkata Placements 2023 has been concluded. IIFT Kolkata's highest package stood at INR 85.40 LPA whereas IIFT Kolkata average package stood at INR 29.1 LPA. The highest number of offers came from the Sales & Marketing domain (22%) followed by the Consulting domain (20%). A total of 108 recruiters participated in IIFT Kolkata Placements 2023. Some of the top recruiters included Adani Group, Cargill, Diageo, Client Associates, Edelweiss, etc. IIFT Kolkata Summer Internship Placements 2024 final report is also released. IIFT Kolkata highest stipend stood at 4.40 Lakhs while IIFT Kolkata's average stipend stood at INR 2.63 Lakhs. The highest number of offers came from the Sales & Marking domain (33%) followed by the Finance / IB domain (20%).
