Shobhit University Ph.D Eligibility Criteria

  • The student must have scored at least an aggregate score of 55% in the concerned subject matter during their Master’s degree.
  • A student who has appeared for the final examination for their Master’s degree and is awaiting the result is also eligible for applying to the PhD program.
  • A candidate with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate in the relevant field of Engineering / Technology of a University or its equivalent is also eligible for applying to the program.
  • A candidate with at least five years of experience in Public Sector Undertaking / Research and Development Organizations / Private Industries / Service Sectors / Educational Institutions / any other State and Central Government Organizations are also eligible.

Shobhit University Ph.D Selection Criteria

  • The university conducts its own written entrance test for candidates willing to enroll themselves in the PhD program.
  • Candidates who have a valid score in any of the eligibility tests like JRF/NET (UGC/CSIR), GATE, GPAT & SLET of the State, are exempted from the university entrance test.
  • Candidates who are Teacher Fellowship Holders/ direct awardees of fellowship by DST (INSPIRE), ICMR, or any other National Agency are also exempted from the entrance test.
  • A student who has passed their MPhil examinations is exempted from the entrance test but they do have to appear for the interview.

Shobhit University Ph.D Admission Process

  • The interested candidates will be required to fill out the application form while mentioning the department they are interested in.
  • The candidate can fill in only one form per department. A candidate can apply for a maximum of 3 departments for the program. Each department must have a separately filled form complete in all aspects.
  • After filling the application form the candidate can pay the application processing fee of INR 2100 using a credit/debit card and print the application form available on the official website.
  • Any incomplete applications or applications received without all the required documentation might be rejected or not be processed.
