Firstly, the hostel fees at BHU vary from course to course. So all I can do is give you a rough estimate through the information I got from my sister who pursued B.Sc from BHU. Hostel Fees 1st semester stood: INR 2666 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th semester: INR 1290 (regular fee and hostel fee both) 3rd, 5th, and 7th: INR 3190 (regular fee and hostel fee) Mess Charges: INR 40 for a simple diet INR 60 for special INR 80 for chicken Usually, there are 2 diets a day and on Sundays, there is only one diet. But the Sunday meal is special so it is counted as a double diet. So the approximate price stands at INR 80-100 per day. If you skip the meal or go home then you can tell Mess Maharaj and you won’t be charged.

BHU LLB Course is better than most Indian Colleges. Some of its salient features are: Fee is higher than the 3-year course Tough competition as limited seats are available It’s a self-financed course Ranked amongst the 8-10 Law Colleges of India The amenities at BHU- Infrastructure, Faculty, Exposure, Security all add to its wonderful experience Massive lush green campus Placements- The placements at BHU are above average. You might get to work in law firms, practicing in courts under a senior lawyer. Other corporate sectors or legal advisory jobs are also available. Many BHU students also prefer pursuing Judiciary.

How is mechanical engineering at IIT (BHU)?

My cousin was a student at IIT BHU in Varanasi. She shared her experience as to why she thinks it’s not a good branch for Mechanical Engineering. The professors are under qualified here. They have little knowledge about their own subjects and teach only bookish concepts. The classes are boring. Students attend classes merely for attendance. This is because even if you score good marks, you might fail if your attendance is less than 75% in that particular subject. The numerical answers are not checked through the stepwise method. That is your method to solve has no value if your answer is wrong. Professors here are not well versed with the relative grading system. This affects the CGPA of many students. Placements are mediocre here. Only non core sectors like coding and analytics get placement opportunities. The salaries offered are also very low. Labs are not equipped with modern tools. The students get no practical exposure. The conclusion from her experience was that the professors in Mechanical Engineering at Varanasi IIT are bringing down the results of students terribly.

How good it is to do MBA from faculty of commerce BHU?

At BHU, MBA is a good option as it provides a lot of quality placement opportunities. But your own efforts to acquire knowledge of the corporate world matter the most. What is the value of doing BHU BSc Math Honours?

My sister’s friend could not score a good rank in engineering but was lucky enough to get a seat in BHU UET for Maths Hons. She shared her experience that this was the best decision of her life as she felt unique. She made a lot of memories and befriended many talented people. She lived her college life to her fullest extent. From hostels to backlogs, she experienced all the fun. Despite creating hundreds of memories, today her batchmates are in IITs, 10% in IISc Banglore, 15% in IISERs, and 10% in IIMs. The others are booming in their own fields.

Eligibility criteria vary for each of the specializations offered in MBA at BHU, Varanasi. The details are elaborated below:

MBA & MBA (IB) Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must have 50% in aggregate for bachelor’s degree examination, in any discipline from a recognised institution. A 5% relaxation is given to reserved category candidates.

A degree in Agriculture, Technology, Medicine, Education or Law is also accepted by BHU, Varanasi.

Master’s degree in any discipline is also accepted for MBA and MBA (IB) admission.

MBA (Foreign Trade) / MBA (Risk & Insurance) / MBA (Financial Management) / MBA (Agri - Business) Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must have 50% in aggregate for bachelor’s degree examination, in any discipline from a recognised institution.

BHU MBA Admission Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to MBA and MBA IB must appear for the CAT exam conducted by IIMs. Those who qualify the CAT entrance examination will be called for GD and PI rounds conducted by the university. 50% weightage will be given to the CAT Score and 30% to the GD and PI performance. Ans. Yes, all entrance exams are conducted online for BHU MBA admission. Applicants have to report to their respective test centres and attempt the entrance exam paper from there only.

What to expect while taking admission in MBA through CUET in BHU

The thing i mostly liked is Central & Cyber Library Facility of BHU where yo can get a variety of books according to your convenience and even you can borrow through your Library Card.
BHU is largest residential university in asia. So yeah the campus is too vast to roam ad spend your free time.

Dislikes

BHU is free to express that is a blessing in disguise as due to this protest takes place in BHU on a regular basis.
BHU is a open university and this someone causes threat to the safety of students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm the person having the background in finance. So yeah the course name itself attracted me as it was MBA(Financial Management). Frankly speaking the course was more theoretical, I've learned mostly from internships and self learning courses for the real worls rather than from faculty or curricuum. The Curriculum needs to be more practical should the skills required for real world. and the teaching method should be changed from lecturership to Intercative sessions such as brainstorming etc Exam comes after 4-5 months and the diffculty leavel was not so much high as they were more of theoretical nature.

Details of BHU campus life.

The professors and mentors are very supportive, if we have any doubts in mind regarding anything they are always ready to help.
I also like the quality of infrastructure, it was newly build faculty and almost every faculty in BHU is similar.

Although i like our infrastructure bt our faculty is small in comparison to other facilities of BHU.
I think our faculty is needed to approved by AICTE or anything for better assurance.

About my decision to chose this college that I've heard so much about BHU it's one of the best university out there the campus like the curriculum i liked it all. They prepared you for the real world but not every students get the chance like if you're chosen to be a student placement coordinator you're prepared to the real world by meeting HRs and others but the seat is only limited to 8-10 students and this is same for other curriculums too so the one third students is still left doing nothing just go to college and come back. The areas of improvement i want that they need to organise workshop very often where all the students can join and learn a few things to improve themselves. Timing of exam is not so hectic we get proper gaps in between our exams.

FMS BHU Review

Campus is very green it feels like totally different place.
As per the fees the facilities provided in the campus are good.

Study is more academics based not case based study.
Hostels are not good they need upgradation.

MBA provides us the understanding of the business. The course curriculum of the FMS BHU is not that much good as it teaches only the subjects and does not tell about the applications of that which is the lacking in the course curriculum. Teachers used to teach few part of the subject by themself then they assing the topics to the students for the presentation.

As after the NEP there is a need to revise the syllabus. So I will recommend that there is a great need to create a syllabus according to today's era. The timing of exam is mostly afternoon. It is fine in normal days . But in summer timing should be in morning. It is more preferable.

MBA life at BHU

Course curriculum is not being updated from 2013 in BHU for mba..so we can say we are far behind. But faculty members put in their efforts and come up with their own sorts of addition to course. There are two semesters per year and 3sessionals for each subject taken .

The University culture here is phenomenal
The fest and activities all around the year

The Hostel is unclean and unhyginic at times
The food gets repetitive and after a time You stop focusing on what you are eating

The course curriculum is definitely outdated in terms of theory but our professors take enough effort to update in terms of practicality of the theory. More case studies can be introduced further to tackle the real world application and to prepare well students for the practical world.

To get admission to the B.Ed courses of BHU you must take CUET PG. Admission will be granted based on the merit of CUET PG and personal interview. The duration of the B.Ed program of BHU is two years. Also the general duration of B.Ed courses is two years.

Banaras Hindu University does not offer BA Honors in Sociology. Instead of this course, the university offers BA Honors in Social Sciences. Admission to the course is done on the basis of the CUET UG examination.
