AMU Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

AMU is a well-known university, the people from big companies have trust in the university and they hire us with no doubt. The placement wing always provides us guidance and also helps us make our decisions regarding our future.

The placements of my colleagues are good and acceptable if we perform good during the placement period. Students become eligible for placements once they get into the final year. The companies that visit our college are mostly commercial companies in KPO and BPO like Accenture, Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro Ltd., etc. Around 30-40% students can get placement if they work hard for it.

The students of the Final year can apply for campus placements. Every year lot of companies visit the university for recruitment like TATA, ITC, Zomato, Wipro, Kotak, Accenture, Ogilvy, etc. Last year highest package was offered to a student of MBA (HRM) by Ogilvy for the post of HR Rs.22lakh per annum. And the average package per year is around 6 LPA. About 40-60% of students are getting placed through campus placements. As I have chosen the commerce and the sole objective behind this is I want to be an entrepreneur and want to start my own startup once I finish Graduation.

Individual placement depends upon one's skills, abilities, and Qualifications. Many people are getting placed at lower packages and some get outstanding packages. My batchmate was gets placed in different companies at diverse profiles. So If I give an overall rating to the placement is Good. Many companies like Byjus, White Hat jr, TCS, and other's Companies.

University provides a number of placement offers, for example, a number of companies do come to the university annually providing employment to the students. But placement offered at the university level for a bachelor's degree or masters degree is 30-40%

In the final year, students become eligible for placements. Not much companies visit, few of them are Pepper Content, Tech Mahindra, Byju's , Chegg India, Pie Infocomm, Wipro Technologies, etc. The highest package is up to 6-6.50 lakhs and the average is 3 lakhs. Very few students get placed.

Sutdents get placed from 6th semester and they manage work and academics, a salary package of Rs 60000 annually was given to one of my friends which is not bad for a fresher who is still studying in college.

I opted this university mainly because of its reputation and my course preference. I had in mind a university which would be affordable as well as offer great facilities and study environment. Aligarh Muslim University being a central university features in top 10 ranking of the country, so it has that reputation and facilities exceeds the expectations if you were to count what it is offering in minimal price. So, it was great to finally get selected and now that I have completed my graduation I consider myself eligible to recommend it to other universities prospects.

Firstly its Central Government University with higher certification value, and one can avail much facilities in just small amount of fees.And benefit of studying in a central university you got many opportunities like scholarship, placement, to know about other courses you can opt further as mostly courses are available in university, you can catch-up with students of different courses can get knowledge of other things also and most importantly you can develop your self in that environment where you get know everything.

5/6th semester students become eligible for campus placement! Although BCom doesn't have taht far scope of placements! But if you persuade MCom then the average packages are 12-18 lakhs pa(MCom) while honestly BCom don't get placement except very rare cases! Only if one is way too lucky.
