Fee Structure

• Security Deposit of Rs. 2,000 is a one-time refundable caution fee, refunded at the time of leaving the university subject to no dues.
• Hostel fees are optional and not included in the above total. Hostel accommodation (non-mandatory) ranges from Rs. 1,20,000 to Rs. 2,20,000 per year depending on room type (Non-AC 5-seater at Rs. 1,20,000/year to AC 1-seater at Rs. 2,20,000/year). Hostel fees include mess charges.
• Hostel fees are increased by Rs. 2,000 per annum for domestic students on account of food inflation.
• The full semester fee is to be paid at the time of admission/each semester commencement.

CUET PG 2026 Dates

• CUCET is the primary entrance-cum-scholarship test for Chandigarh University.
• CUET PG scores are also accepted for scholarship purposes.
• Candidates scoring 90% and above in CUET PG are eligible for 50% scholarship on semester fee (subject to 10% of total intake seats).

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have completed a Bachelor's degree in B.A./BCA/B.Sc./B.Com (with Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science) or B.E./B.Tech or equivalent undergraduate degree with at least one of the following subjects: Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
• Minimum 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination.
• Candidates appearing in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply provisionally.

Admission Process

• Register on the CUCET portal at cucet.cuchd.in and create a candidate profile.
• Pay the CUCET application fee of Rs. 1,000 and choose a preferred exam date/slot.
• Appear for the CUCET online exam (100 MCQs, 2 hours, no negative marking) - this serves as a scholarship test for M.Sc programmes.
• Result is declared on the day of the exam; scholarship eligibility is communicated via email.
• Deposit 30% of the admission fee within 15 days of result to confirm admission and avail scholarship.
• Complete document verification and pay the remaining fee to secure the seat.
• Alternatively, CUET PG 2026 scores can be submitted for scholarship consideration.

Scholarship Details

• Scholarships are renewable annually subject to maintaining a minimum 7.5 CGPA with no E, F, or I grades in any subject.
• A student cannot avail multiple scholarships simultaneously.
• Scholarship scheme swapping is not allowed in subsequent years.
• Maximum 10% of total intake seats in each course are offered under merit-based scholarship schemes.
• Teaching Assistant Stipend is available for M.Sc students who take on a teaching load of 8-10 hours per week.
