Mizoram University Aizawl Course Admission 2025: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Application Process, Selection Criteria

Ans. Applicants must upload the following documents for Mizoram University online admissions:

Ans. Foreign students who are seeking admission at Mizoram University must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Candidate must have studied the relevant subjects of the programme prior to seeking admission
• Students must have passed the qualifying examination from a foreign school
• Candidate must get equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian University
• Candidates should get a minimum ‘C’ grade in the allied subjects at ‘Advanced Placement’ in case of American system of education at previous school.

Ans. The basic eligibility criteria for admission at Mizoram University is to obtain a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the last qualifying examination. Alongside, the marks secured in CUET or MZU Entrance test will be added to it for determining merit for admission. This procedure is followed for all the UG and PG courses, except those that require national or state entrance tests. Furthermore, for Ph.D, the respective department will frame the admission process.

Ans. Yes, students from colleges affiliated to Mizoram University or maintained by it, will be added extra marks. 15 marks will be added to their total in the concerned subject. But for those candidates who have not been offered the subject in Majors/Honours, no such weightage will be given to them and their original marks will be considered.

Ans. The ELSP (Employment Linked Programme) of Mizoram University is a three-month learning program that makes the students job ready professionals. This course can be taken by students while they're still studying, wherein they get on-the-job training even before they graduate. This course has a registration fee of INR 100 and the course fee is INR 7000 which is payable after securing an internship or full-time job.

Ans. Mizoram University offers online diploma courses in different specialisations. Some of the most popular ones are diploma in computer applications, diploma in foreign language-French & Japanese, and diploma in naturopathy and yoga science. The duration of this courses is 6 months to 1 year with a course fee ranging between 10,200-12,200

Ans. In addition to online diploma courses, Mizoram University also offers online executive diploma courses. Ans. Yes, Mizoram University offers Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) which are free of cost. Anyone, irrespective of their age, gender, or qualification can join these free courses and access them from anywhere. Some of these courses include business communication, life skills, designing of a business organisation, introduction to computer science, etc.

Ans. The fee structure for foreign students studying at Mizoram University is different from that of Indian students. International students who have selected humanities shall pay USD 250 for UG, USD 500 for PG and PhD, and USD 1000 for professional courses. Whereas, foreign students who have chosen science shall have to pay USD 275 for UG, USD 750 for PG and PhD, and USD 1000 for professional courses. Hostel and mess fees are not included in the above fee. Moreover, students from SAARC countries, Tibet, and Myanmar may pay the same fees as Indian students. 

Ans. The engineering workshop is a facility provided to B.Tech students at Mizoram University. This facility is well-equipped with fitting and welding machinery, 3D printer, CNC, Router, 3DScanner, CNC Laser Engraver, electric welding, and gas welding in the DST incubation centre. All these equipment give a hands-on experience to the students and makes them industry-ready.

Ans. Mizoram University has a large central library. The library has a vast collection of more than 1,00,000 books. It also has subscriptions to several national and international journals and provides access to e-resources to its students and faculty members. Apart from reading and learning materials, the library gives reprographic, printing, lamination, and spiral binding facilities for the convenience of its students.
