MZUEEE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Regular Entry Eligibility — 1st Year B.Tech

You can apply for B.Tech regular entry through MZUEEE if you meet all of the following:

Lateral Entry Eligibility — 2nd Year B.Tech (Direct)

Diploma holders can apply for direct admission to the 2nd year of B.Tech through the lateral entry route:

• You must hold a 3-year Diploma in Engineering in a relevant branch from a recognized institute or polytechnic.
• Your diploma specialisation must be relevant to the B.Tech branch you want to join.
• Minimum marks required in Diploma: 60% aggregate for General/OBC candidates.
• SC, ST, and PWD candidates need a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in their Diploma.
• Lateral entry does not require appearing in the MZUEEE written exam — you attend the dedicated lateral entry counselling directly.

If you appear in Class 12 in the current year and your result is pending at the time of application, you can apply provisionally. However, you must produce your final marksheet and passing certificate at the time of MZUEEE counselling. If you do not meet the 50% eligibility condition after results, your provisional admission will be cancelled.

• Step 4 — Upload scanned documents: Upload a recent passport-size photograph, your signature, Class 10 certificate, and Class 12 marksheet if your result is already out. Documents must meet size and format requirements mentioned on the portal.
• Step 5 — Pay the application fee: Pay online through net banking, debit card, or credit card. No offline payment option is available.
