A complete guide for your journey in GGMC mumbai

Likes

The hostels are quite cheap considering they are in mumbai with a lot of freedom
The medical facilities like cadavers patients to practice are ample
The academic structure is quite supportive to the students

Dislikes

The class strength is quite high individual attention cannot be provided
The hostels are crowded for 1st and 2nd year students
Internship is quite hectik considering the 24 hrs shift with minimal wages

Beauty of education

Likes

The staff is very cooperative and makes us feel like a family
The teachers and professors are very professional and talented homeopaths
Students gets to learn through practicals in the hospital through patients

Dislikes

The campus can be improved more, it's still under development
The toilets can be cleaner and include more hygiene
There should be availability of hostels in campus which isn't for now

Admission:

I didn't choose this college, I had applied for other colleges but due to my marks i didn't get selected and I got selected to my current college And when I came to get admitted I was a bit sceptical about the college given the campus which is on the outskirts of the town but the staff members were so cooperative regarding the students needs that they made us feel like a family Now our college doesn't have fully functional campus like others but in the teaching aspects of surpasses any other average college

The dean of the college and management is very helpful. The ragging habit is very strict. No ragging is entertained in this college.
Staff is really cheerful. It helps when we really need.
Location of the college is also an ideal point. It lies long to the city and it has a really beautiful lake around its campus.

Dislikes

Poor amenities are seen in the campus campus is small
College is far away from the city, so you have to travel a bit longer to get your essentials
Summer is a great have in Dhule, so be aware to be like if you’re ready to handle, heavy hit management doesn’t allow to use an air conditioner in the campus

Admission:

This college has an advantage as there is no dental college in nearby cities or town as in Major cities. So the patient pull from nearby cities or districts comes directly to this college as it's nearby district. Nandurbar has no dental College Dhule just has a single dental College, which is (ACPM) dental College itself. Nashik Main city doesn't have any dental colleges. Jalgaon doesn't have any dental College and rest District nearby also doesn't have dental College so all the poor of the patients from nearby area comes to this college so Patient Students receive a great practice.

My college and it's purpose

Likes

The aspect of college i appreciated was that it provides great opportunity for research.The infrastructure is very good.It has one of its own kind of best library.best in the state.girls to boys ratio are also quite good.the faculty is well learned
The professors are alumini of respected universities and we'll known in their fields.We are provided with 24/7 high speed wifi all over the campus.
The campus has badminton court.single accommodation room in hostel with balcony.mess . basketball courts and Ac classrooms

Dislikes

The thing I dislikes is the college doesn't support fest or organise any such things.The college committee is very strict .
The weather of the place is very bad.crosses 40 degree Celsius.

Admission:

I applied in every government medical college in Maharashtra.I was also selected in GMC dhule .But the infrastructure didn't satisfy me so I chose mgims over that The admission process is simple..give the neet exam .clear the cuttoff and take admission

I had applied for all government colleges in Maharashtra for MBBS. According to my cutoff I was not alloted a college in first round but was alloted SVNGMC Yavatmal in the second round. The allotment did not change in the third round upon which i confirmed the college. I got admission to SVNGMC through hilly areas criteria via the NEET UG exam. The admission process is complex however it can be made simpler by appointing a councellor. The overall admission process was tedious however bery clear and well informed. Adequate time is available to make decisions and collect requirements

Pravara Medical College basic information

Teaching is good and faculty are approachable
Campus is good and maintained and peaceful
Good patient flow for clinical posting practice

I scored 487 marks in neet ug. I had crossed the merit of the deemed colleges. I choose this college over others because it is near to my home. It has good patient flow and reputation. Its teaching standards are better that the other colleges that i could choose from.

Academics are good and all the the department have enough facilities and instruments for all 150 students
Facilities are provided by college for travel for girls from hostel to college with proper safety as girls hostel is situated at CPR hospital which is 5km away from college.
Boys hostels are seperate for every batch and well engineered with ample amount of space for each roommate. Each student get seprate ceiling fan,study table, electric board,bed, cupboard

Dislikes

Hospital associated with college which is CPR hospital is 5 km away from college area thus boys have to travel to hospital in 2nd ,3rd,4th year by own means of transport.
Construction is going on in college so there is noise which can be disturbing sometimes.
As college and hospital are 5km away from each other there is difficulty for reaching in time for lecture sometime due to traffic

Admission:

1)I had applied for all government medical Colleges in Maharashtra and in 1st round I got SRTR GMC,Beed but in 3 rd round of counselling I got this college,I liked this college and my parents also on same page so I confirm it.at first glance I liked weather and college campus. 2)I didn't get admission in top medical Colleges of Maharashtra as selection process was based on merit and I didn't got selected 3) admission is done according to merit, admission process is little lengthy but can be done in 1 day, selection is done according to NEET exam marks which is given by PCB group students after 12th. Cutoff for government college is higher than other private colleges which can be more than 580 marks in neet for open category. Admission process can be hectic if there are many students at a time but they give 6-7 days for admission thus there will be no problem for arranging all required documents.

I like the college because they provide great opportunity for our practical knowledge by sending us to clinical

They provide placement in their hospital as the college is a part of the hospital

The campus of the college is too small and congested
The classroom are too hotter in summer season

This college is considered as best college in Mumbai and it was my 1st preference after government colleges and the admission process is also very easy they provide us every details on call regarding fees and then we have to approach to them they helps us to fill all forms and makes the process faster
