Job opportunities for this program are present both in academia and industry
Research work positions are present in universities, observatories, and research institutes.
Teaching positions at various colleges and universities in India are also a good option for the students of this program.

However, IIT Indore MSc Astronomy will restrict your research area to astronomy only. So, this program should be taken only if you are certain of doing full-time research in Astronomy. If you want to explore other fields of Physics then go for MSc Physics from any other IIT.
