Course Description

The Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies offers a Master’s degree in Law in the subject of Maritime Law. It is a two-year, four-semester course intended to train law graduates in the area of maritime and ocean laws.

The eligibility requirement is a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB).
Applications are submitted online, and admissions are done after the results of the entrance exam is released.

Candidates who have passed the LLB degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate from a recognized institution can apply for admissions in LLB at KUFOS.

The minimum eligibility percentage for SC/ST candidates is 45%.

Ans. For applying for up to 5 programs, the application fee is INR 1100 for General Category and INR 550 for SC/ST tribes. SC/ST students have to be a native of Kerala.

Ques. How is the application fee paid?

Ans. The application fee is paid via SBI collect. The details are mentioned on the online portal. The online payment has to be done within 3 days of submission of the application.

Ques. What documents have to be produced at the time of admission?

Ans. The following documents have to be in their original forms during admission –

Application form printout.
Proof of remittance of the prescribed fee.
Certificate for date of birth.
Marks list of the qualifying examination
Certificates reflecting sports activities and N.C.C.
Community Certificate obtained from a Revenue Officer for SC/ST candidates.
Certificate of Non-creamy layer that has been issued by the competent authority.
In case of in-service candidates, No Objection Certificate and experience certificates from the concerned controlling officer.
Nativity certificate.
Certificate in support of claims made of any other reservation in the application form.
