Gecw college of full of fun

Likes

The boys and girls ratio in college is around fifty fifty
College camps life is good all students support eachothers and make a good social life
Placement service is good In this college and get an average salary around 4lpa

Dislikes

Transportation to reach college is very difficult
There are some courses that everyone not know about this course
In winter season the temperature is very low so some students can't resist it

Placement Experience:

Semester 5 onwards the campus placement Companysvlike wipro, tata are mainly vistede companys in this college. Highest salary is 12lpa and average salary is around 4 laks per Year Around 30% students get placements After geting degree i do my mtech

The course curriculum is well with the industry needs, offering practical exposure through process and works
Scholarships and financial aid options, such as Erandu makes education accessible to students from various background Social
Social interactions are vibrant with active Campus, live involving club, cultural events, and technical visits that increase students, participation and bonding Dislike

Dislikes

The placement services need improvement as the opportunity provided our limited and not well suited
The hostel facilities could be better maintained. The issues like cleanliness and basic abilities require
Campus remote area, transportation access, inconvenient

It influenced by decision to choose this course because of balance between theoretical knowledge and practical applications. ME AND MY CAMPUS

Likes

Great Teachers and Way they are Teaching
Equal number Of Boys and Girls in my class.
The Syllabus and Curriculum Are Great and Good Equipments

Dislikes

The Payyanur campus doesnt have any entertainment
Doesnt have any sport activites and Programmes
The Infrastructure Is Vast but doesnt have any places to be free and have leisure

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is excellent but is little hard to cope of u r not interested in it.. There are lot of seminars and also a great curriculum and syllabus having many Gis specialization than any other uNIVERISTY in kerala

Likes

The faculty expert is excellent they are knowledgeable approachable and provide good guidance for academics and career growth.
Campus infrastructure is satisfactory with well eqquid labs have well stocked library and comfortable classroom.
The social life on campus is engaging with a plenty of club cultural activities and technical festive that encourage in interaction and participation.

Dislikes

The placement services need and handsman with limited companies visiting and fever opportunities for some branches.
The remote location of the campus make accessibility and transportation a challenge.
Canteen of sincere limited and food quality could be improved.

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent in CSE and easy branches with an average package of 3 to 6 LBS around 40 out of 7D students in CSC get placed while sum of the for higher studies after semesters 6 or semester 7.

Faculty expertise is excellent.They are knowledgeable,approachable and provide good guidance
The campus infrastructure is satisfactory..well equipped labs,a well maintained library and comfortable classrooms
The campus has a nature friendly environment surrounded by greenary, which creates a peacefull atmosphere

Dislikes

The placement services need enhancement .with limited companies visting and fewer oppurtunities for some branches
The remote location of the campus makes acessiblity a challenge
canteen options are limited inside the campus...but availablity is decent oustside the campus

Placement Experience:

The placemnt scenes at my college is decent,particularly in cse and ece branches. companies like infosys,tcs and wipro visit with avg pack of around 3-6 LPA.. in ce approximately 40 out of 70 student batch secure placemnts..while others pursue higher studeis..over all placements are strong in specific branches,efforts to improve oppotunities for other branches are ongoing

My decision for my future

Likes

I like the atmosphere because it's so peaceful.
Their is no transport issues and they provide hostel for those who live far away.
Teachers are very friendly and they teach us clearly.

Dislikes

Their is less college programs compared to other colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really like my course and i choose it for my own decision. It is different from other degrees and it provide more scope. After bsc if we want we can choose msc or we can get job after completing bsc.

Campus life of a student

Likes

There is nothing i liked about that college. It is like a jail and not a friendly zone
There was no ragging in the college that was the only good thing about the college

Dislikes

There is less bus service in the college route
There is no extra curricular activities or programs
Sports are not held properly. They don't inform students about all the sports event

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is somehow better i think because we got different options to select the veriety pf courses but the college has only a limited courses to offer that was the only bad think and their should be more time in the syllabus

Sir syed institute - experience as a first year student

Likes

Ambience and support of teachers for every activity we are involving
So many clubs we can join them and we can participate various programs they held
It has a great lab facility in entire colleges among kerala

Dislikes

There is a minor ragging issue but they ask your consent as some students come in order to rag their juniors
Some class time table issues happening without a proper arrangement and time management during a busy schedule
Lacks a proper and permanent canteen it is being built when iam writing this

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.

The area of campus was very small compared to others

our kannur university provides us a vast curriculum based on our courses .but is is very dense and it can't be fully understood by everyone in the same manner . It would be a great help if they decide to shorten the syllabus and make it simple

College Life

Likes

The atmosphere was too good. The college is situated apart from the town in a peaceful and nature influenced place with tea plantation surrounded.
The facilities are good. The common facilities like toilet, classroom, etc is very good
Have a vast library and lab faciilty. It gives us more knowledge we can grab books of any of our course subjects

Dislikes

Sometimes I felt like the faculities could be some more supportive.

Placement Experience:

Placements are provided and some of the students are also employed. Due to situation of recession, the students who got employed is much less compared to our seniors. Comparing the present situation my college have provided good placements
