- KEA is conducting a Special Stray Vacancy Round of Counselling for admission to vacant seats of MBBS/BDS under State Quota for the academic session 2024-25. Candidates must pay the Course Fee Deposit till November 22, 2024. Candidates who have paid the course fee deposit can fill in their choices/ options till November 24, 2024 (11 AM). The payment of the security deposit and option entry for the counselling should be done online @cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/ugneet24. Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have completed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.
- A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination is required for general category candidates. For reserved categories, the requirement is 40%.
Course Details
Yenepoya University (YU) was established in 2008 which is certified by NAAC with ‘A’ grade under section 3 of UGC Act 1956. The Yenepoya University is the first private University in the District of Dakshin Kannada. The university covers various aspects of the educational arena which provide students with numerous options to explore. Main focus of the university is to give access to quality education to the students.
Yenepoya University offers under graduate, MBBS/BDS programmes in its constituent colleges, namely Yenepoya Medical College and Yenepoya Dental College which are discussed below:

Admission to the above mentioned programmes is through merit in the YUUGET entrance test.
YUUGET is “Yenepoya University under Graduate Entrance Test” conducted for admission to MBBS/BDS courses in YU Medical and Dental college. Check Yenepoya University Admission
Candidates can register themselves by submitting an examination fee of Rs. 1000/- through DD.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility
- Candidates must have passed two-year Pre University Examination or 10+2 or equivalent examination recognized by State/Central government with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subject.
- Candidate must have secured minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology for General candidates (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
Selection Process
- Selection of the candidates is based on merit in the entrance examination and their performance in previous academic programme.
- Candidates can download application form from the university website and Administrative Office of Yenepoya University.
- Candidates have to submit Rs 1000/- for entrance examination fee through DD in favour of “Yenepoya University” payable at Mangaluru.
- Candidates have to send the application form along with all the necessary enclosures and Demand Draft to the address given below:

Notes
- 150 seats are reserved for MBBS programme and 100 seats are reserved for BDS programme.
- Hall tickets will be sent to the candidate’s email address.
- Ragging is strictly prohibited in Yenepoya institutions.

Fees and Financial Aid:
The year wise fees from 23 batch onwards is 2200000 including hostel fees. We should pay extra fees for our books and medical kits from second year onwards.There are students who study for below 10000 fees also (localities).

- We got really very good sports department with lots of support from the management including a vast ground in middle of campus and two turf also got an indoor badminton court , they also provide sports qouta scholarships for other paramedics courses
Dislikes
- Toxic mentality pass from the seniors to juniors since ages in certain departments in college is very toxic and depressing environment to work in
- Low pay on internship after working more than 8 hrs daily excluding 24 hr and 36 hour duty days 5 times a month and obligated to do clerical works perhaps having a mbbs degree in hand makes life depressing as an intern, we are not paid enough for wor
Fees and Financial Aid:
Total fees cost around 80 lakhs with each year cost 16lskhs per year as tuition fee and 1.2lakhs for hostel increases 15% per year and extra fees for exams include 5000 rupees for each year paper and 10000 for final year , scholarship are available each year if income per year is less than 5 lakhs , scholarship amount is 30000 per year and Karnataka quota fee per year is around 2 lakhs NRI was 20 lakhs per year

- The increasing number of student intake makes it difficult

Our fees is fixed for respective batch which changes in each batch. We have to pay a fees of 80 lakhs in total including hostel and tution facilities in forms of 5 installments through 5 years of course. I got throught obc category

- The staffs and faculty are of great help to the students.
- Campus is quiete good and spacious with a beautiful ambience.
Dislikes
- Strict timings and rules.Services not provided for the price

Yearly we had to 17.5 lacs.The merit scholarship quota had to pay 5 lacs yearly.Nri quota had to pay 23 lacs yearly.There are fees concession provided for students who deserve it.The fees for complete course is 80 lacs

- Very good ambienence and peaceful atmosphere
- Very big library with all the books required

- Cleaniness in the zulekha hostel is poor
- Street light is not working the area near by hostel

- The college campus is amazing and to be much appreciated since medical college usually does not have a huge campus area. All the students are present for interactions even from outside karnataka.
- Campus consists of newer technologies and better infrastructure for the students better teaching facilities. There is mentors and mentees each student for checking their progress and development in their studies.
Dislikes
- Cultural activities and sports are only present once a year. Just like a deemed college holidays will be very much less compared to other colleges.
- Boys and girls are separated during each functions and programmes. Barricades are put up in each programmes to separate students

The year wise fees is 17.5 lakhs per year until final year which is 10 lakhs. The fees is less if we can pay during the starting of the year 8% compensation is provided by the management. There is no extra hostel fee. For ac charge per month 1000rs or depends on how much we use will be charged in our student portal. Records and log books separate charges should be given to buy the official college books

- The campus is beautiful. It is a very student friendly environment. Unlike the other colleges with boring buildings and plain grounds, our campus is surrounded with lush greenery and a beautiful soccer ground.
- The faculty is well experienced and professional. We have amazing doctors from all over India
Dislikes
- The hostel maintenance fee is a little high. Every month it goes higher than expected
- The record books purchased from the college are very expensive
Fees and Financial Aid:
The yearly fees for YMC for the 2021 Batch was 17.5 lakh. The fee for the last year (internship) is 10lakh along with a stipend of 12k. This yearly fees also includes the hostel fees. At the end of each month a separate Hostel maintenance fee have to paid.

- The faculties are very encouraging and involves different methodology of teaching giving us maximum clinical exposure

- Curfew timing is very strict for girls . I would like to extend the timing

I am paying 1750000 per year for 4 years and another 10,00,000 for final year . This fee structure is for those who enter via all India quota after clearing entrance examination. NRI fees is about 40,00,000 lakhs per year . Hostel and mess fees are including in the yearly fee. Books and other supplies to be purchased by our own . Recently there has been an increase in the fees

- Hostel is very comfortable very good environment 3 sharing rooms with airconditioning. Food and all are good with good bathrooms and toilets which is separate in a room and 3 separate beds study table etc
- College environment is also very good nature friendly campus . Campus also provide extra curiccular activities like cultural festival sports and several others it also provide ragging free campus with good learning environments
Dislikes
- Hostel curfew timings are early for girls till 6:30pm and for boys it is 8:30 pm wgich i feel like its early. Food during Saturdays are bad .except that every thing is kind of good and nice . Nothing much to dislike
- Nothing as such . Holidays are less so can’t go to hometown regularly

Total course fee is 80 lakhs which is 17.5 lakh yearly inclusive of hostel fees .an extra maintenance fee is required for Air conditioner in room , laundry and mess.if we are payingfees early furing an academic year we will get 8% off in the yearly fees . Extra maintenance fee depends on the usage of AC in a room

- yenepoya is very expensive for a common middle class family
- yenepoya does not provide ang extra curicular activities
