In the 2006 batch, Geology students experienced satisfactory campus placements, securing jobs with prominent companies like Aaditya Birla and De Beers, mostly in iron ore mining, with only one focused on diamond mining. Although internships weren't offered in 2004, students can now pursue them through faculty or the chairperson, requiring self-initiative.
Practical exposure is enhanced through field projects with organizations like the Geological Survey of India and dissertations in the 4th semester. Scholarships are mainly available for Karnataka students, making the college more affordable for locals. Fees have increased from 54,000 INR last year to 60,000 INR this year. Non-Karnataka students face limited scholarship opportunities, and campus jobs are not offered, though some departments have placement opportunities.
