Studies with the charm of nature

Likes

The college campus is a pretty nice place to explore and it's beauty will make sure to bring you close to nature
Noone can get bored by the interesting assignments you get during your course

Dislikes

Many of the infrastructure and basic requirements are lacking
There can be more educational tours for students
More attention needs to be paid towards the career guidance

Admission:

The other colleges I've applied for offer courses whose jobs can be later substituted with AI but if we talk about agriculture.. I don't think that there is a scope for AI to work in field and take over the manual work. The admission in this college is based upon the ICAR score cards which are prepared on the basis of CUET score.

Likes

I liked campus, library facilities, hostel facilities, campus region, teachers guidance.
I liked playing facilities, the availability of good sports complex and ground.
I liked the exposure and zonal quizes participation.

Dislikes

We used to get a little time for our preparation after 9 to 5 classes .
There are some restriction like timing of hostels that are 7 pm during winter , and 8 pm during summer.

Admission:

I got selected to yashwant Singh Parmar university nauni but I left that university because of narrower scope of horticulture and forestry than agriculture. Agriculture open up ways for you to give maximum government exams.

Tit bits about the agriculture university

Likes

The faculty in interactive and social. They provide help when asked nicely.
The campus is huge and really beautiful. It has a lot of greenery and fresh air.
Electric cabs are provided to travel from one department to another

Dislikes

The washrooms of the university need a lot of improvent, sometimes water isnt available sometimes the washrooms are left dirty for days.
There are not many events organised in the university and sometimes it feels like all we do is study and there's no fun in that.
For some events the limitations of day scholars are not taken into conaideration...mostly hostellers get all the fun. It makes us day scholars feel excluded.

Admission:

I applied for icar reservation through CUET examination through which I had a confirmed admission in GADVASU Ludhiana but, i preferred CSKHPKV, Palampur because it is loacted in my hometown and it has the course i was willing to take. The admission process of our college varies with the course you're applying for. For agriculture and btech, you need to clear the CUET exam w.r.t to the subjects required for the course. Fro BVsc. (Veterinary) You need to clear NEET. However, in the College of Basic Sciences, admission is merit-based.

The agriculture college review

Likes

I liked the campus and the expert faculty present
Also the practicals conducted are on field and everything is practically demonstrated
All co curricular activities like sports meet, inter-university competition and NCC is also there

Dislikes

The lack of time to prepare for mid term and end term exams as we don't get any holiday in between exams
No university fests and major shows are there
Hostels are not so good like very average

Admission:

I applied to IISER and other medical Colleges but can't get admission due to my numbers still, I got admission here at the end through CUET test in addition to CUET you have to fill the counselling form of the college timely only then you are eligible for admission here through college counseling

College Life A Great Influencer

Likes

The vast area my college posses it us around 5km.
The faculties here are very much qualified and helpful.
Camus facilities are upto mark and no students ever face problem regarding these

Dislikes

Hectic schedule of my studies as we got some extra classes on Sundays too.
Less faculties per students must be provided here.
Partially qmong social group disappointed me a lot.

Admission:

I applied for this colllege because it is nearby to my house.This college has a large reputation and a great influence too which attracted me .I got rejection from medical colleges due to low neet scores.Admission process in my college is essy as you can take admission on test as well percentage basis.CUET is the best wxam students prefer to seek admission here.

Likes

Things I like is they give there personal attention to the students..good tutoring
They provide us different opportunities to show our talent
They provide lecture on different topics and bring good people for lectures

Dislikes

Less number of programs here like in 1 year only 2or 3 function occur

I was in community college which is like degree college where lots of people take admission as it easy there to take admission but they don't pay that much attention as they did and the environment on my college is much better than degree .... Admission process it based on entrance test and matric based where I got selected through 12 marks ....the campus is good and staff members are good

A Systematic review of CSKHPKV Palampur

Likes

The infrastructure is good with well equipped labs in each department.
Teachers are very supportive as well they guide for new career options.

Dislikes

There are some subject in degree program which is of no use.
Advance technologies and others advance methods for farming are not practised

I chose this college because this college is in my state and distict and I also applied for some other colleges like DAV college kangra, Siddharth college Nadaun, and COHF NAUNI. No I don't get rejection from any other college. Now the admission process in my college has got changed. The admission in my college is taken through ICAR UG Exam. The student has to crack the ICR UG exam after that they fill out the counselling and then the university will got selected and it's depend upon cut off. The cut off varies for different categories generally 80-90 per cent etc

I like campus it's huge,the faculty are so helpful
Labs of our university are really good and get chance to perform any time .
You can also enjoy nature and hills around our college

Dislikes

NCC is compulsory to all students like for all its a course in every college in this university
If you fail in course then there is option of re-examine and re exam fee is 1000
NCC is for both boys and girls but NSS is only for girls .

Admission:

I got admission in DAV college and then I apply for this university in my previous college the campus is too small and labs are not good even teacher come ,teach even you understand or not and go there is no interaction ????.I got admission through ICAR test conducted by NTA

Likes

Opportunities for any task is given to every student.
Labs are good and sports activities are also good
Teachers are very good and perform there tasks very well

Dislikes

Interaction among students is less as expected.
Vehicle facility should be there so that if there is some important work of any person they can go and reach on time.
Dress should be there as not every student can afford a new cloth for daily wear

Admission:

Here in this college I have less distance from my home to travel whereas other universities are far and daily transportation is not possible there so I chose this for mt convenience and other than this aspect it has a good infrastructure and faculty which I think is sufficient for me.

A CSKHPKV overview

Likes

The course curriculum is very diverse and practical oriented preparing us for professional life
Whatever one wants to do in life, all the resources to succeed can be found in the university
The faculty and alumni are very helpful even for out of syllabus doubts

Dislikes

The gym looks modern and well equipped but most of the equipment is broken and out of date or broken
Sports is not given a priority, while there are facilities for students to play but no opportunity to go big
No student representation in academic council leading to biased and unfriendly decisions.

Admission:

For admission I had appeared for the ICAR exam but these days students have to appear for the CUET exam. Cut off for normal seats is about 90 percentile and that for self finance seats is 65 percentile Counselling session takes place in the University itself in about 3-4 rounds for admission of students
