CSKHPKV Faculties : Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 29 Reviews

The faculty at the college is well-qualified, with most holding doctorate degrees, and possesses strong communication skills, making them approachable for student queries. The student-to-faculty ratio is approximately 20:1, ensuring personalized attention despite varying departmental strengths. While the teaching staff is noted for their dedication, practical knowledge, and supportive nature, there is a need for more faculty in certain departments like Economics. Courses are taught with a mix of theoretical and practical knowledge, and the faculty aids in seminars, workshops, and competitive exam preparation.

The exam system comprises midterms, practicals, and end terms, typically with internal and external assessments, requiring a minimum of 20 out of 50 in each to pass. Despite some faculty being more focused on their research, overall, the faculty is considered excellent and instrumental in student advancement.

Faculty:

There can be more faculty.. the expertise of the available staff is trusting but the students can be able to improve much with a much more interactive staff to help solve their problems related to their course and career. The exams are taken in 3 different durations.. mid term, practicals and end term with the marks distribution of 20, 30 and 50 respectively where, the mid terms and practical are checked on internal basis while the external exams are marked by some other external examiner.

Faculty:

The faculty is nice to the students when it comes to clearing doubts regarding a subject. I said "almost" because some professors are rude and not very welcoming. The soil department of the university is not my favourite to deal with, with a few exceptions ofcourse. The soil department is known for really strict marking and rude behaviour. The faculty of college of basics science is the best. They all are extremely polite and soft spoken, always ready to help. All the teachers of basic science are known to be empathetic. I'm unaware of the new education policy that has been implemented upon our freshers. But, according to ours, we have 3 exams. A mid term of 20 marks a practical of 30 marks and an end term of 50 marks. Midterms and practicals are both internal exams, whereas the end term is an external exam. Out of 50 in both the exams, you need to score 20 to pass. For example, the marks of your midterm and practical as an aggregate should be 20 or more, or else you'll fail in that subject. In the end term, more or equal to 20 out of 50 are required, and the mid term plus practical should make 50/100; if it is less than 50, an F grade is given. The failure of a student purely depends on the subject and the student's efforts, but I will say this course needs thorough study as it is a professional course.

Faculty is good as they are mostly researchera so they possess a great knowledge of the course they are teaching and also do have a great interest in teaching. The exams are continuous and can be sometimes difficult as you may never get the required time for them.

Faculty:

Faculty-to-student is less. because strength of student increased every year. Student will approach their teacher easily but they have to do it by him/her self. I like the Department of Plant Pathology because teachers taught the things very deeply and practicals are also done. they solve doubts as well as give guidance. All teachers are good but some teachers not taught properly as well they not even take classes regularly. In Each semester there will be mid terms; a practical exam and End term. level of exam moderate to difficult. if exam or course difficult the some students are not passed. couse curriculum is relevant but needs some changes in each semester.

The course is very diverse and varied and helps students prepare for further goals. The faculty is good and knowledgeable and very helpful but at the end students have to study by themselves. Exams happen once a semester in two phases of internal and external. Not many students fail as the question paper is not very difficult
