NIT Goa Placement Report 2025 has not been released yet. As per the placement report from June 2024, the highest package for BTech and MTech programs was INR 20 LPA, while the average package offered to B.Tech students was INR 9.24 LPA, in which more than 160 companies visited the campus. A total of 220+ offers were provided by various companies, and 91 students were placed in NIT Goa Placements 2024. Campus placement is okay okay but not that great . Mech and civil don't have that much package avg of around 6 lakh and i guess only 10-11 got placed .. and 16-17 was eligibile for it. For eligible to placement you don't have any backlog in any subject and some minimum cgpa required too

Placement Experience:

Final students are eligible for placements. Companies such as turtle mint, findem, Nokia, IFB, Samsung, Adani power, HDFC Bank, Tesco, Upskill, ONGC, Jio, and many more. Last year almost everyone got placed. Average package is 10 LPA. This year though placements were not as expected because of economic depression. Even after the placements, lay offs have become common. Hence to cope up with the competition we need to keep upskilling.

Placement Experience:

The placements have been quite decent and have had 100% placements in the past. The average comes to be a bit average but the highest package so far might be above 44LPA. Placement Experience:

The college has a solid placement record, and the placement cell is competent and experienced. As a result, we won't have any issues during our placement program. About 25 firms came to our campus to look for employees. Companies such as Cognizant, Vedanta, L&T, Toppers, Mphasis, and others visited our campus during the practice rounds and real placement round. Our batch's maximum package was 11.20 LPA.

Placement Experience:

Only a few main firms were present for electrical distribution. However, there were a large number of computer firms. By the end of the period of employment, around 40-approximately half of enrollees had been placed. Institute was only a venue for businesses to meet students. They were unconcerned with training and motivating pupils to succeed in assessments and processes.

I will share my experience at NIT Goa after I took admission in M.Tech in VLSI at the institute. Please remember that these will be my thoughts and might differ from person to person.

College Campus –

NIT Goa currently operates from a temporary campus located at Goa Engineering College in Farmagudi, Goa which is approximately 29 km away from the state capital at Panaji.
Since it is a temporary campus, it has limited accommodation facilities and thus M.Tech and Ph.D. pursuing boys are not given any hostel. They have to stay on their own.
For food, you can use the hostel mess and college canteens which will cost you around INR 40 – 50 per day.
For commuting, you can use the bus service provided by the college completely free of cost. Otherwise, you can definitely keep your own motorcycle or scooter since you are staying outside campus.

Academics –

There is a separate VLSI lab for M.Tech students which is open for use 24X7. Each M.Tech student is allocated a separate PC with its user ID.
The labs have access to all the required software you will ever need to play around with, simulate and verify your ideas. For example Cadence, MATLAB, Mentor, and Xilinx.

Placements –

In the VLSI domain, many companies such as Intel Corporation, NXP Semiconductor, Global Foundries, and ON Semiconductor visit the campus for summer internships while companies like Sankhya Labs and C-DAC have visited the campus for final placements.
The industry tie-ups are increasing and will increase further as more students pass from the institute.

In my experience, NIT Goa has been very good for me. I have had a very good social life. However you will also need to work hard during your years at the institute.

How is NIT GOA for MTech CSE in terms of placements, faculty and facilities?

One of my friends studied at NIT Goa. According to him, In the recent placement drive of 2021, the students of NIT Goa were offered the highest packages compared to the placement drives of the previous years.

One of the students who completed the M.Tech course got a package that offered INR 14.3 LPA.
The companies that have made offers to the students this year are Siemens, Goldman Sachs, TCS, Samsung, Mphasis, Samsung, etc.
In the department of CSE, out of the 27 eligible students, all 27 of them got placed, making their placement program a complete success.
Over 45 companies have visited NIT Goa in 2021 so far; surpassing the tally of the previous three years.
If we talk about facilities, the labs have computers that are high end and run on Linux and Windows operating systems.
The internet connection provided, leaves no room for complaints.
The campus is wifi enabled too.
The faculty is helpful and cooperative.

NIT Goa CSE placements are great. For CSE, the placement average is 100%. The average CTC received by the CSE graduates is INR 7.61 LPA. The highest CTC received was INR 20 LPA. Some of the major recruiters that visited the campus placement are TCS, Samsung, Infosys, L&T Infotech, Wipro, Mindtree, etc.

NIT Goa has a good teaching faculty for the VLSI stream. The faculty has done their PhDs from IITs and the campus also has very well-equipped labs so it provides a great learning experience.
