NIT Goa currently operates from a temporary campus, using facilities provided by GEC College. Hostel facilities are not up to the standard of other NITs, with rooms shared by 3-4 students for boys and 1-2 for girls. The annual hostel fee is approximately 1 lakh INR, with a per-semester fee of 30,000 INR. Hostels have 24x7 Wi-Fi, water, and electricity supply, as well as daily room cleaning services. The mess food is average, predominantly vegetarian with non-vegetarian options available twice a week, and operates on a self-service basis.

Separate hostels are available for girls and boys, with rooms equipped with basic furniture. Limited hostel seats are available, prioritizing non-local students, with PGs available in nearby areas like Ponda, around 5 km from Goa. The new campus, expected to be completed in 2021, promises improved facilities.
