Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have a Master's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or allied subjects with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent CGPA) from a recognised university.
  • SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-abled candidates are eligible with a relaxation of 5% (i.e., 50% marks).
  • Candidates with a 4-year/8-semester Bachelor's degree with at least 75% marks (70% for reserved categories) are also eligible for direct PhD admission.
  • Candidates with an M.Phil. degree (55% marks) in the relevant subject from a recognised university are also eligible.

Admission Process

  • Apply online at admission.jmi.ac.in and pay the application fee of Rs. 2,000/-.
  • Appear for the JMI PhD Entrance Test (Paper I: Research Methodology; Paper II: Commerce/Business Studies-specific) OR submit proof of UGC-NET qualification for exemption.
