The Certificate in Disaster Management (CDM) is a 6-month certificate programme offered by IGNOU's School of Social Sciences in Open Distance Learning (ODL) mode. It provides knowledge in disaster preparedness, prevention, mitigation, relief, reconstruction, and rehabilitation. The programme consists of 2 courses totalling 16 credits and is offered in both English and Hindi medium. The total programme fee is Rs. 2,600. Admission Status: The January 2026 session admission for IGNOU certificate programmes closed on 28 February 2026. Enrolled students can submit June 2026 TEE forms from 10 March to 10 April 2026 (without late fee) and 11 April to 24 April 2026 (with late fee of Rs. 1,100).
