Admission to the college is through JEE Mains, followed by a counseling process on the CSAB and JOSAA websites. There are approximately 200 options among NITs and GFITs, and the admission is based on rank and preferences. The ECE department at NIT Patna has around 25 professors, many with PhDs and significant experience, ensuring a faculty-to-student ratio of 1:15. Exams are held twice per semester, with passing requiring at least 30 out of 100 marks per subject.
