How good or bad is CSE in NIT Patna?

NIT Patna is a decent choice for your CSE. The faculty isn’t top-notch and won’t really go out of their way to guide and support you. The curriculum is as challenging as any other Engineering institute. The placements are witnessing an increase year on year. During 2021 placements, the highest package of 44 LPA was offered to a single student from B.Tech CSE by Adobe. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Samsung, and Amazon visit the campus for IT recruitment. IBM also recruits candidates from CSE. The average CTC during 2020 placements stood at INR 8.93 LPA for the CSE department. The campus life at NIT Patna isn’t really great and the infrastructure is also not the best. One of my cousins visited NIT Patna for document verification. Initially, he was shocked by the old buildings but once he entered the building, the infrastructure left him in awe. He clicked a few pics of the CSE classrooms and labs. I am sharing a few below CSE Classroom The CSE lab had around 50-60 computers in one room. The hostels were under renovation and he enjoyed the cool breeze from the River Ganga at the back of the college. There were many places to hang around near the campus like malls and playgrounds. Academics : The academic ambiance is not very rigorous as all the students are busy with different activities like coding, playing games, gym and sports, preparations for competitive exams, etc As a result studies are given the least preference here. Faculty : The professors aren't interested in teaching at all and no kind of research work is encouraged by them. Competitive exams: NIT Patna has a culture that promotes the preparation of Civil services exams and other competitive exams. Placements : NIT Patna Placements 2023 is in progress. Till now, 120+ recruiters participated in the placement drive & placed 609 students. NIT Patna's highest package stood at INR 52 LPA whereas NIT Patna's average package stood at INR 14 LPA. The tips I’m going to share below will really help you, given that you religiously follow them- Before joining, revise these topics from 11th and 12th- Calculus, Algebra, Matrices, Trigonometry, Physical and Organic Chemistry, Physics (Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism, Modern Physics), and English (Grammar and Written Composition). Before the start of classes, start learning C language. It is the syllabus of sem-1. Download GeeksforGeeks to learn coding. My friend in Patna got selected easily for NIT Parna because of the Home State quota. Later in the 3rd - 4th round she got IIIT Jabalpur and not IIIT Lucknow. She went to IIIT Jabalpur after JoSAA rounds but kept her hopes high for the CSAB rounds. Finally, in the Spot round, she got IIIT Lucknow and she could not have been happier. Which is better: MME at NIT Trichy or CSE at NIT Patna?

When considering these two options, you’ll have to look closely at the course as well as the college- MME at NIT Trichy- NIT Trichy is a top NIT. It is a well-renowned institution with the best of students, faculty, and campus. The campus is huge, which is great for an amazing campus life. However, there’s always a problem with commuting to big campuses. NIT Trichy offers good sports and extracurricular facilities. But talking about MME, the faculty isn’t that great at NIT Trichy. But you’ll have to compromise on an amazing campus and a great campus life. Fee structure is divided in even and odd semester, as I belong to below one lakh income as obc ncl category, so I pay 42050 in odd sem and 41250 in even semester (including hostel fee). While addmission multiple fee includes this I pay 94250 rupees in first sem including hostel fee, that included 30000 development fee 10000 caution money and miscellaneous charges like medical charges etc. While other sc st candidates fee is also same as me While for 1 to 5 lakh income students fee is 2/3 rd off other wise same as me that gives 1/3 rd of 62500 semester fee extra than me While talking about general students give 62500 per sem tution fee and all fee as I give These amount increase in some year as I came that time increase by 20000 per year

In NIT PATNA the fees structure for a whole year is about 9 lakh rupees for completing the whole course. I , second year student paid a sum of 200000 rupees in two semesters . I didn't got any scholership.
