A Grounded College Experience

Likes

The faculty members are largely knowledgeable and experienced in their respective fields which makes the academic guidance and mentorship effective.
Another thing is the academic environment is nice as it encourages critical thinking. There is constant participation in debate as well other kind of competitions which keeps the students engaged and academically active.
The college infrastructure is also functional and adequate. Classroom and libraries are equipped with basic facilities and amenities that are needed for academics.

Dislikes

The placement and internship opportunity for students needs to be advanced more.
The curriculum is strong in theory, however more focus must also be given to hands-on learning and practical experience which would better prepare students. .
The library section can be diversified more, with addition of more books as there is only limited number of books available which most of the time falls short as compared to a class strength.

Basically, I took the CLAT exam, and in that, I got selected for NLU Assam. There were other options of other NLUs too, which are lower in ranking than NLU Assam, but my family decided that I should go here only because some of my close relatives, mainly my mother's side relatives, live here too, which made the place a good option. So other than NLU Assam, I did not applied in any other colleges as such. The admission to my college takes place through the CLAT examination only. The eligibility is to clear the exam and have a reasonable ranking in it. I am not aware of the cutoffs because it varies every year and more or less also depends on the CLAT consortium. My overall admission experience was good. There was a lot of academic processess which was troublesome but otherwise it was good only.

Journey at NLUJAA

Likes

The sense of diversity still unity i love the most
Teachers are so hardworking and always there to help students
The campus is natural mostly the library it is so peaceful

Dislikes

Placement should be inprove, students in the past are mostly engaged in government sectors
One more girls hostel is needed less space, also NLUJAA should think of more healthier way mainly for the mess food .
Exams are so tough and more pressure during exam period on the other hand it is also good help us in progress

As i have appeared for CLAT and choose NLUJAA at first phase because of the environment so natural and peaceful which most doesnot i know because it is 3rd tier but i love NLUJAA and always exicted to come here also got in the 1st merit list . So i havenot applied for other colleges at all .

The campus environment is very good specially the nature around the campus. The university is completely green lush which is my favorite part
the admin staff of the university is very supportive and cooperative.
The most important thing the teaching staff is excellent.

Dislikes

the university is situated out from the city and it is difficult for us to visit the city

Admission:

my university take admision on the basis of CLAT examination and i choose this collage over the other collages because of the status of NLU and the campus environment. my collage was better than the collages that i applied on the parameters like teaching staff, infrastructure, and placements.

Campus review on NLU ASSAM

Likes

The environment here is inclusive for law students to prosper by indulging at various clubs which is the thing I like most.
Also the faculty members are helpful in regards of any doubts aroused while dealing with topics.
The infrastructure is decent and the high quality classrooms are self sufficient for better understanding.

Dislikes

The availability of books of library should be more.
Though the placement scene is improving but the institution must take steps to take the placements to next level.

The admission process for my college is to pass through the CLAT exam. My marks reached to the level of me securing this campus. I didn't apply for other colleges though. The overall cutoff for my college keeps on changing and its demand is increasing day by day.

Hostel is definitely one of the best . It has lifts and room are equipped with stand fans as well.
Mess is not that good but it is better then most of the other mess out their .
Campus view is the best out of all it is breathtaking.

Dislikes

There should be a official football or cricket ground
Very far from the main city . There is less shops
Although mess is overall good but evening tea should be included

Admission:

Eligibility of this course first have to give the CLAT exam and attained a good marks . Clat exam is conducted yearly. Reservation is given for obc ncl , domicile of assam , st and sc . Timing of exam is good but difficulties level depends on th teacher.

Life in NLUJAA

Likes

The university have a very good infrastructure, classrooms are completely digital with ac facilities. The hostels are very well maintained.
The library is very vast collection books, which helps in research purposes, it also have a digital depositary which can be accessed remotely.
The University is very supporting in providing internships. The various centers in the university also helps in overall growth. And the organisation of various seminars in presence of eminent diginitaries

Dislikes

The placement is very low in this university. Mostly its students who get PPOs on their own.
The whole campus is not completeled yet, the construction of a new hostel and sports facilities are still pending.

Admission:

To get admission in a NLU, we have to appear in the CLAT exam, which is held in all India level. To get admission in NLUJAA a person from general category under 2500 rank can get admission. While of OBC, SC and ST reservations is only given to persons of Assam and Northeast. While ranks can go upto 40k in those categories.

Admission:

National Law University and Judicial Academy (NLUJAA), Guwahati is established by the government of Assam. The admission form can be availed from the college website. I cleared my CLAT exam which is conducted by NLU and submitted the college admission by visiting the campus as the campus is situated in my hometown. I decided to opt for the college plus it was nearer to me and the college is popular for its education.

Admission:

A National test named CLAT is held which makes you eligible for the National Law universities all across India. The higher marks you get, the chances of getting into a better NLU increases. The reason why I sought to join an NLU is because of the prestige attached to it. Moreover it was in my hometown thus it would be more convenient.

A marvelous instituition in the making

Admission:

The only criteria to get into NLUJAA is to crack CLAT and get a rank above 2000. The application for CLAT generally begins on the first of January and ends on the 31st of March. The exam is held on the second Sunday of May. The course for the entrance comprises of GK, Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Maths and English.

You need to have a rank around 1300-1500 for admission to NLUJAA Guwahati.
