What is STEP at Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology?

STEP stands for Science and Technological Entrepreneurship Park. The main objective of the center is to promote Entrepreneurship among graduates. The achievements include a biomass stove that could cook 1 kg of rice in 20 minutes by using only 100 grams of wooden morsels, the milking machine that can milk 20 liters of milk in 5 minutes without any discomfort either to the animal or the man, etc.

A relaxation of 5% marks is granted to candidates from reserved categories to qualify to be eligible for admissions. Additionally, the reservation is declared by the Government of Karnataka from time to time.

SSIT BE Electronics & Telecom Engineering is offered as 4 Years Full Time program, with total intake of 60 seats. The minimum eligibility criteria for BE is 10+2 with 45% + KCET. The total fees for SSIT BE Electronics & Telecom Engineering in 2024 is ₹ 4.8 Lakhs for the complete course duration, which includes total tuition fees of ₹ 4.8 Lakhs. Earlier, the fees in 2023 - 2024 for BE Electronics & Telecom Engineering was ₹ 4.47 Lakhs.

Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to 4 year Full-time BE Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement:

A Pass in 2nd PUC/12th Std/equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with English as one of the languages and obtained 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the following subjects: Chemistry/Biology/ Biotechnology/Computer Science/Electronics. In case of candidates belonging to Karnataka SC/ST and other backward classes (Category 1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for eligibility will be 40% in aggregate in optional subjects in qualifying examination.

The admission to college is through the entrance test, Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Karnataka Government
