  • I stayed in a private accommodation, but there were residential accommodations available also, which my friends highly recommended.

  • I opted for private accommodation where I shared a house with other tenants. My monthly share used to come to 700 GBP per month and food and social expenses used to go to 300 GBP per month.

  • There are 2 campuses: one is totally for motorsport and the other for other courses, which is the main campus. Campus has almost everything from a library, where it's very easy to track any book you want to refer to, to sports teams for varied sports and medical facilities for dentistry and other things as well but over here in the UK, you have to get registered with a GP (medical facility) near your residing location, which is done online so one has to visit the same doctor whenever required unless and until there is any emergency.
  • There are many events or fests happening throughout the year; there are even indian festivals celebrated, as there are more indian students and plus there is indian cultural team handling all of these events. There are many academic events as well, where sometimes we have to visit some offices or sites or there are visits by some representatives from different offices to the university. There are other benefits of an on-campus gym: sports at a discounted rate for students.

  • According to the current market situation, there are very few students who secure their jobs in 6 months, considering experience in a particular field. Some wait for years, some wait for months and some can get it within days; it totally depends on your passion, experience and luck.
  • Salary is also dependent mostly on the roles and experience so it can't be generalized, but typically it can range from 25k to 40k annually. There are different portals or social media platforms for all of the fields where students mostly apply, mainly Linkedin, Indeed, etc.

  • The college has three campuses in Oxford, i.e., Headington, Harcourt Hill and Wheatley (closed recently) and a smaller campus in Swindon focused on nursing.
  • The college has all the facilities, like a library, labs, medical, and sports.
  • The college has a good sports team with an Olympic medal in rowing as well.

  • Getting accommodation in Oxford is really difficult; you should book everything 6 months in advance or start looking a minimum of 3 months prior.
  • If you don't want to struggle at the last moment. Students need to show their income or parents' income to get accommodation from letting agents.
  • Choose your roommate appropriately.

  • There are 2 main campuses for Oxford Brookes University. One is Headington, the main campus, and the second is Harcourt Hill, but they are shifting to Headington in 2025. Every single facility is available at the university, be it a sports centre or swimming pool.
  • One popular fest would be Brookes Union Fest. This is the biggest fest and also you get to attend career fairs and a lot of fun activities. They regularly take you to different historical places also.

  • To be very honest, getting a full-time job in the UK is really hard. Around 10% of students secure jobs within 6 months. The average salary range is 22000 pounds to 50000 pounds but it becomes really hard to secure the job because of your visa status.
  • You can look for jobs on LinkedIn and company websites but try to get referrals. The highest salary you can expect is 30000 as a fresher but can easily go up to 50000 pounds.

  • There are four different campuses of the University, Headington being the main one.
  • There are lots of facilities across the campuses, namely a library, sports ground, gym, cafeterias, study places, labs, test beds, etc.
  • My campus used to be Wheatley Campus, but for the new semester, we were shifted to the Headington campus.
  • There are a lot of festivals and celebrations done across the year, and various national clubs also exist, making the university quite multi-cultural. The university also hosts a number of events that the students enjoy throughout the year.

  • 80% of students, on average, secure the job within 6 months of completion.
  • On average, masters graduate secure GBP 32000 per year salary.
  • Various seminars and placement recruiters visit the university to introduce companies for recruitment and sometimes students apply directly to the company website.
  • Some students also prefer graduate schemes and internships to train themselves in the company to work later down the line.

My university provides residence for all 4 years of my degree. Accommodation is excellent and maintained to a big standard. One downside is that each term you have to vacate your room with all of your belongings

For academic reasons. It is one of the best universities in the world. They have a large Russian department and a research program for experts in the field. They give you the chance to attend very small classes (1 or 2 people).
