What Students Say
Likes
- Course curriculum and teaching faculty
- The support for international students
- The campus and facilities and reputation

- Could have been more informative for international students
- Could have asked students about class hours schedule
Colleges Where I Was Accepted
Reason for choosing my college
- Location, reputation, and curriculum. I always wanted to upskill and grow towards future goals, and I thought Oxford Brookes was in line with my personal and professional goals, so I chose Oxford Brookes based on ranking and tenure, of course.
Colleges Where I Was Rejected
Reason for Rejection
- As I am an international student, it was difficult for me to adapt to the situation, as it is completely research-oriented and the class is more practical than theoretical. And learning in-depth was challenging and wonderful, as you are on the path of discovering what is really happening in real time, rather than just learning concepts

Tips to enhance your application
- Include SOP with relevant experience and why you are applying for the university and course, and also a statement if asked for a scholarship, and be sure it is concise and relevant to whatever you are requested to provide.
Admission Experience
- I chose UK specifically because of the tenure of masters course, i wanted to pursue my masters in some good reputed university when I was browsing and researching university and course curriculum i found it was in line with my expectations of industry as well as sustainability which I personally related myself to and also the location of University which is Oxford well know for its reputation in field of studies It was a wonderful experience overall I am proud to tell that i am an Oxford brookes alumni in future.
Class Schedule
- There used to be 3 to 2 classes weekly, which were divided into class and seminar sessions, usually scheduled 1hour of teaching and 2 hours of seminar, and the classes were divided into groups, and every 10 students had one mentor. Depending on the subject, whether it is a general or specific topic, the strength of the class changes.
Faculty
- Faculty are very friendly and always there to help students with problems regarding the modules and assignment assistance. All the faculty are good, but I have a couple of them who I would prefer, especially Junior, Valentina, Bjoern, Michele, Charl, Robin, as I have worked closely with them and find them very supportive and always like to push you ahead with your interests and doubts.
Campus Life
- There are 3 campuses, but I like Headington campus as my course was in that campus. There are a lot of extracurricular and open days with leading industry companies to gain real-time experience, which I found very useful, especially when you bring the theoretical and practical knowledge to use! And build real real-time connection.
Part Time Jobs
- Depends on where you are getting a job and how you can manage, but you are allowed to work 20 hours per week and 40 hours in break time. It entirely depends on the individual. You can work in any grocery store or showroom and professional places, depending on the availability of your work and employment.
- 20 hours in teaching period and 40 hours during break period, depending on university norms, it is better to get confirmation from your university team. I would always suggest taking confirmation from the university before working, and always better to know if it's a genuine employer, as it is important for your career.
Placement
- It highly depends on the individual portfolio and connection, and the college also hosts a job career portal and a job fair. Individuals with a high portfolio have a high chance of getting jobs and being employed linked LinkedIn job portals are the main places that prefer jobs. Openings for a freshers package are entirely up to the individual's overall experience and skills.
Accommodation
- It's a private accommodation. You can find the accommodation from a letting agency, but you need to have documents and advance payment funds, and you may need a guarantor in some cases, as we are new to the country and financial transactions involving the accommodation. And it's usually best to buy university accommodation, as we can build connections.
