University of Dundee Fees Deposit

The University cannot issue an Admissions Letter or a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) until you have paid your tuition fee deposit. For the September 2026 entry, expect to pay a minimum of around £5,000 as your tuition fee deposit (unless your offer letter states a different amount).

The University of Dundee accepts tuition fee payments in multiple ways for international students:

• Bank transfer
• payment partner (Flywire)

Tip: You must upload the proof of your deposit payment to your Dundee applicant portal so the university can proceed with your pre-CAS checklist and CAS issuance.

What Happens After Your Payment?

After you submit proof of the tuition fee deposit and meet all other offer conditions, the University of Dundee will send you a pre-CAS checklist. Once this checklist is completed, the university will issue your CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies), which is required for your UK student visa. Please note that CAS will not be issued until the deposit has been paid.

Tip: If you need to apply for a Student visa, the university recommends that you pay more than the minimum to show you are committed to studying with the University of Dundee. It has been seen from previous students that this can improve the strength of visa applications.

University of Dundee Offer Types

The University of Dundee can make three types of offers of admission, and it will inform you of our decision by email:

• Unconditional - if you have already obtained the necessary entry requirements
• Conditional - if you still need to obtain the qualifications specified in the offer. If you obtain these, your offer will change to unconditional, meaning you definitely have a place.
• Rejection - if you are not qualified

After you receive the offer, the university will give you instructions for how to respond. You can either:

• Accept: if you wish to take up the offer, or
• Decline: if you no longer want the place

Tip: If you’re new to the UK, carry around £200 in cash and up to £500 on a prepaid Visa/MasterCard for immediate expenses (avoid travellers’ cheques). You may need extra funds if your Dundee accommodation is not prepaid.
