University of Cambridge Materials Sciences Programs

The Department of Materials Sciences at the University of Cambridge is well-equipped with state-of-the-art research facilities in materials science and materials engineering.  Cambridge’s research is sponsored by about 130 industries and government organizations in the UK and overseas. The Department has a diverse and energetic research school and offers Master's and Doctoral level training programs, some in collaboration with industry or structured Centres for Doctoral Training.
Materials Science studies at the undergraduate level in Cambridge is taught as part of the Natural Sciences Tripos (NST).
