What's New in UW?
30 June 2025: The University of Winchester has increased its International Student Scholarships for the 2025–26 academic year. Postgraduate students are now eligible for £5,000 (~₹5.87 lakhs), up from £4,000, while undergraduate students can receive £4,000 (~₹4.70 lakhs), up from £3,000. These scholarships are automatically applied to the offer letter for eligible international students. Check programs.
The University of Winchester is a public university founded in the year 1840. It was initially named Winchester Diocesan Training School and was located at St Swithun Street. The Privy Council renamed it to the University of Winchester in the year 2005.

University of Winchester Programmes, and Residence
- The university offers about 173 courses in science, humanities, management studies, social science, education and computing for undergraduates, postgraduates as well as research students.
- University of Winchester provides a wide range of housing options to international students. The 2018 Times Higher Education Student Experience has ranked the housing facilities of the university to be 15th out of 116 universities. The residence is offered to single and married students. Accommodations are offered on a first come first serve basis.

University of Winchester Financial Aid
International student’s scholarship is awarded to all International students applying for a postgraduate degree. Awards of up to 11,300 Pounds are offered to the students. External scholarships are also available for international applicants.

Overview
Friendly environment and good ideals. The city has a culture and is Not too large. The city is a good distance from my home and one that I wanted to get to know better. I'm adding the course at this university was what I specifically wanted.
Fees
We are charged per semester for university-managed housing. As for fees for the course it goes directly from the government to the university.
