Friendly environment and good ideals. The city has a culture and is Not too large. The city is a good distance from my home and one that I wanted to get to know better. I'm adding the course at this university was what I specifically wanted.
Course Curriculum
I really enjoy this curriculum. There is a lot of work in essays and assignments compared to a much lower number of contact hours in lectures etc. There is a large variety of what topics I can look at too.
Placement
There are very good job opportunities within the university, for example, working with the student union or with on-campus food outlets. These positions do fill up quickly however as they are very In demand.
Fees
We are charged per semester for university-managed housing. As for fees for the course it goes directly from the government to the university.
Scholarship
I get my general loan from the government. Then the university gives me 1000 bursary over the course of the 3 years.
Examination Structure
The exam structure for my course is good. On average there are two large essays per module per semester. In the first year, there is an exam at the end however, this is the only examination of the course. The rest of the assessments are presentations etc.
Faculty
It is a very friendly place with good ideals. There is always help available if you need it for anything, not just your studies e.g housing help and maintenance.
Hostel
I live in off-campus university-managed housing which works very well for me. We all chose to live here so I am living with friends I made at university. The set up is good but the price could be a bit cheaper.
