University review - University of Surrey

I had applied to several colleges. i haven't received any rejection. The ones i remember are: University of Exeter- Confirmed Abirdeen University- Confirmed Brunel University- confirmed Bradford University- confirmed University of Greenwich- confirmed University of Westminster- confirmed I had applied to only selective colleges considering my requirements for the modules and course. I wanted a February admission, and hence I had limited options as well. I chose the college because: My cousin is an alumnus of the university, and their positive experience influenced my decision. The university holds a strong academic ranking and reputation. The campus offers excellent amenities and facilities for students. It provides the specific course I wanted to pursue. The admission process was easy, and one of the agents helped me. Eligibility criteria: work experience/ percentage in previous education. There were no challenges in the overall process. The updates were received via email. I had the February 2025 intake. I made the decision to pursue this course on October 24, and hence the next intake was in February. It took me 2months from scratch. I had appointed a gent for the process, and they took care of everything. For my visa, I had to keep the funds for 28 days and hence the additional 1month. It is located in a very beautiful area in North Wales, between the mountains and the sea. If someone loves the great outdoors, Bangor would be an ideal choice. Moreover, I got scholarships in the form of tuition fee waivers from the University, and also I was familiar with the University before as I did a master's degree before progressing into a PhD. University Campus is one of the most beautiful in Southern UK. The professors are industry leaders and very knowledgeable in the fields. The admission process is very smooth and the staff is very helpful throughout the process. I applied for the following universities: University of Surrey: Admitted University of Bristol: Waitlisted University of Stirling: Shortlisted  University of Hertfordshire: Shortlisted  I have chosen these colleges based on the fees and rankings and also, the University of Surrey was close to London, which helped me get part-time jobs as well. Moreover, I was dedicated towards accounting and Finance only and the modules that I was looking for was present in my university.  I chose the University of Surrey based on Rankings and the availability of my course, also the location, as it is near London. The admissions process was lengthy but not complicated, as once I applied, I got my conditional offer letter with conditions such as as;IELTS few other documents and the entry score that I needed, which was a 6.5 band overall. Other than IELTS I had to prove the completion of my bachelor’s with the help of transcripts as I applied for a master’s degree. Other than these, I believe the application wasn’t tough. Once I received my Unconditional offer letter after IELTS , I applied for CAS which I received within a week, and hence I applied for my visa, and fortunately, within 15 days, I got my visa. I took the winter intake which was not the main intake but I was quite in a hurry, as I had already left my job. However, I believe the September Intake is the best, as it is the main Intake in the UK so one will get a lot more job opportunities there. So, I did my Masters in Information Security. The course was pretty well formed and teaching is also thorough. We mostly had hybrid classes and most of them were online, even though we had full access to the labs. Assignments given are very thought provoking and practical, so its fun performing them. Regarding the campus, it has all kinds of facilities that a student may need like restaurants, grocery stores, cafes, laundry facilities, etc. There is a lake too near which students can relax and feel at ease. The campus mainly is safe, which I think should be a priority for international students as the security is always on rounds and accessible around the clock. The location of the university is also quite convenient as it is 10 minute walk from the town center, bus station and train station.
