As a finance student, I have strategically chosen to study in the UK particularly because London being one of the best global financial centres. In my quest for a Master’s in Finance, I opted for the University of Surrey because it is reputed to be among the best business schools in Britain, in proximity to London and has great facilities. The university has a balanced experience with quality education and many extracurricular activities intertwined. It also offers several scholarships which entice students from other countries hence making it an appealing place to pursue one’s education. Moreover, this institution celebrates all major festivals including those that are important to Indian students thus providing a warm environment for them.
Course Curriculum
Courses are very advanced and up-to-date. Industrial experience in terms of practicality was not as such but projects were given as such that u get to know everything going on in the present world.
Faculty
The student-faculty ratio is commendable fostering individual attention and a more student-centered environment. Faculty members are approachable and extend help to students beyond academics into career exploration. They are not only specialists in their fields of study but also offer immense support at job placement matters. Faculty members play an active role in linking students with professionals in the field as well as offering recommendations for both part-time and full-time positions. Students seeking part-time employment have numerous options available to them, and fellow students in the workforce can give references.
Campus Life
I bet you that this university surely has the best university life or campus life there are many clubs u can take part in, many parties, and tons of celebrations so gonna experience one of the best campus life if you come here.
Placement
There are job fairs in the university every 6 months where almost 50-60 companies visit but placement depends on your skill set and reference plays a huge role in the entire UK. However, one of the major problems for many of us who study here is placements. It seems to be a more general problem for various universities across the UK, not just ours since entry-level positions in finance are highly competitive in the job market.
