- We could have had more classes with our main professor.

Colleges Where I Was Accepted
Reason for choosing my college
- I really liked the course structure for the course I had taken in my college, it was very elaborate and the faculty was top notch.
- The location and facilities also aided in the choice I made and lastly, my favorite writer Charles Dickens, someone I grew up reading was a Nottingham pass out.
Colleges Where I Was Rejected
Reason for Rejection
I think the selection criteria are stricter in these universities, they seek a lot of requirements, including work samples, Letter of Recommendations, and a minimum undergraduate score to pass.

Tips to enhance your application
1. Make sure you are not making things up, be articulate, and write about why you want to join a particular college/ course, why should they take you in, and any achievements in the field in a simple language. 2. Choose your best works, if any work samples are asked for and make sure you submit some variety so that they know your interest areas. 3. Divide your paragraphs well, each covering a different motive required in the application. 4. Get as many LoRs as possible, from your college professors, to any internships done. It adds value.
Admission Experience
- I chose England as a country to study English literature because it is known for its Creative Writing courses, also this is the nearest country to India where I could study, due to the ease of language, university standards, and the facilities provided. Also, it was a financially viable option for me.
- My university apart from the amazing course structure, also helped us get internship opportunities and arranged talks by renowned people to help us develop an overall personality. From the campus to the library, travel and accommodation facility, everything was conducive and student friendly.
Class Schedule
- We had 4-5 classes a week on different topics by different professors.
- The timings would be between 9 a.m.- 1 p.m., to sometimes post-lunch between 3-4 p.m.
- We were about 8-10 students in my course.
- I was the only Indian in my class 5. There were writing assignments given in my classes, we had to put in 4-5 hours after classes to research and write assignments.
Faculty
We had 3 different professors for 8-10 students in my course. The faculty was extremely polite and helpful in their approach. They had great experience in their fields. I liked all my professors and I am still connected with them over LinkedIn. My Professors were- Spencer Jordon, Jon Mcgregor (who is Man-Booker Prize Short Listed British Author), and Ms. Lila.
Campus Life
- There were many separate department buildings in the University of Nottingham, like Creative Writing Area, Business School, Economics etc.
- The library was huge and we could sit there to study and do our research work; it was open till late night, there was sports segment, proper medical facilities, many canteens and popular fests by different departments, etc.
Part Time Jobs
I am not too sure of this segment, because I didn't know many Indian students there, at least in my course and hostel there were hardly any Indians.
Our college had a separate segment on their website for internships, I also applied and got an internship at The National Justice Museum at Nottingham. I sent my CV and gave an interview and then got selected. I don't remember the wage as of yet, but I do remember that I had to go to work 3 times a week and I enjoyed a lot.
Placement
It is definitely hard to find relevant Jobs in UK, by relevant I mean jobs related to the course you've done. The job market was not that great there and of course they prefer giving jobs to their people. Plus, in my time, I could only stay a month or two above my study visa, so finding a job in such a short period was tough.
Accommodation
The college recommended hostels were great.
