FAQs

Ques. What are the Pros and Cons of Studying at London Metropolitan University for International students?

Ans. As per the students' review the pros and cons of studying at the London Metropolitan University is tabulated below:

Pros Cons
The university is right in central London, making travel easy and the campus accessible. London is an expensive city to live in, which adds to overall cost of study.
Tuition fees are generally more affordable compared to many other London universities. Career support is limited, with very few internships, placements, or industry-level training.
Campus has a diverse mix of students, including many international students, giving exposure to different cultures. The counselling and student support services are not very impactful.
Teachers and staff are cooperative, approachable, and ready to guide students. Some courses are taught only a couple of days a week, which reduces regular classroom learning.
Cultural events, sports facilities, and fun student activities are organised to help students connect. Infrastructure in parts of the campus is old and needs an upgrade.
The library is large, well-equipped, and open long hours, making it a reliable study spot. For certain courses, the learning does not fully match current industry standards.
Students get access to labs, modern equipment, computers, filmmaking gear, and even free laptop lending if needed. The university does not offer direct job placements after graduation.
Course design and resources are transparent online, with student ambassadors available for guidance. Some students feel tuition fees, while lower than others, are still high for the value provided.
Small class sizes (50–60 students) allow for more personal attention from lecturers.
Location near a tube station makes commuting simple and quick.

Ques. What’s the difference between conditional and unconditional offers for International students?

Ans. An unconditional offer is one where the candidate has met all the eligibility criteria and does not require additional screening, while a conditional offer is the one where there are additional criteria mentioned in the offer letter that the student has to meet.

Ques. Can I change my course after I have received the offer letter from London Metropolitan University?

Ans. The application will be reconsidered but a decision will be made based on the requirements and the eligibility criteria of the course you want to change to.

Ques. Can I defer my offer from London Metropolitan University?

Overview

My reasons were to go for the cheapest options as I wanted to sponsor my education on my own. Overall was good, I learned a lot and made some awesome friends. To be honest I was an average student with not much corporate Industry experience, getting a UK visa was easier for me as it's an English-speaking country with lots of opportunities and easier to get access for friends and family. Talking about the extracurricular opportunities there are a lot of options available to go for outings and do sporting events which I really enjoy exploring.
