NISAU, ETS Launches “UK India TOEFL Scholarship” for Indian Students; Check Details Here

As per the latest updates, the National Indian Students and Alumni Union (NISAU) and ETS TOEFL have joined hands and launched a 'UK India TOEFL Scholarship' for Indian students who wish to pursue their higher education in the UK.

As per ETS, a total of 25 students will be selected for UK India TOEFL Scholarship 2023 program. Selected scholars will receive a scholarship amount worth INR 6 million to pursue UG or PG degrees in the UK. Each student will get a scholarship worth INR 2.4 lakh.

This initiative is taken as a part of India@75, ETS@75 with the aim to provide financial support to meritorious students. Selected candidates will receive support for their various college expenses, including tuition, books, housing deposits and transportation expenses. 

To apply for UK India TOEFL Scholarship 2023, candidates have to submit their applications along with TOEFL® test scorecard, a 500-word essay on ‘Creating a social impact with a UK-based Education’, and their personal and academic achievements.

UK India TOEFL Scholarship 2023 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the UK India TOEFL Scholarship program, candidates are required to meet the below-mentioned eligibility: 

• Applicants must have a minimum TOEFL test score of 75 out of 120.
• They need to have an offer letter from a UK university for admission.
• They must be Intending to study on a fee-paying UG or PG degree-level course.
• Candidates must be enrolling for the first time at a UK university.

Selection of applicants will be done by the selection panel comprising NISAU, UK university representatives and industry bodies. Shortlisted scholars will receive a one-time grant of $3,000, given within 60 days after ETS India receives a copy of the signed Notice of Acceptance/Offer.

Informing about the scholarship, NISAU Chairperson Sanam Arora said “It has been a longstanding dream for NISAU and for me personally to be able to provide scholarships to Indian students who wish to use their British education for creating positive social impact and give back to society”.

“With ETS’s support, we are absolutely delighted to be able to offer $75,000 worth of scholarships to 25 young Indians who will hopefully become the change makers of tomorrow. We are delighted to be able to play a small role in addressing the inequity that can often stop the best and brightest students from securing world-class UK education”, he further added.
