Remarks
College is very conservative about things that are convenient to them or whatever aligns with their agenda. Non teaching staff really needs a revamp as they are extremely rude and unhelpful. A lot of good teachers exist but college should take the yearly review of staff more seriously
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus is very, very outdated and it really needs a fresh start. The fee structure is one of the most reasonable in India despite the quality of education being relatively high. For my course, the fee is Rs. 30000
Placement Experience
We are provided with placements through the placement officer of the college. Usually the placement percentages are decent. College does not provide internship internally but insist the students do one outside college for experience and good reference for our project.
College Events
Musical evening: for music and dance events Utsav: celebrates art Sports day: atheltic event Traditional day/degree day: students are allowed to wear traditional clothes and awards are presented to students Degree day: celebration of academic achievements of UG and PG students
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is in my experience the most reasonable in South India. It's an affordable structure. Along with the food quality of education we receive, nobody can complain about the fee. For my course (BCA), it's Rs. 30000 per year
Fees and Financial Aid
College offers scholarships to students excelling in sports, academic and arts on high levels and also provide concession to students who are not fortunate enough to afford the fees required by the college through various schemes
Campus Life
College has over 50 clubs we can join for extracurricular activities which is held every week. Sports are heavily encouraged. Labs are excellent however they could use some improvement especially in the technical support area.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network of Aloysius is basically a massive propaganda for PR and money. The fee to become an alumni is comical and the benefits aren't exactly very attractive. I don't personally know anyone who has opted for alumni membership
Admission
Submitted form after collecting it, from then on it was a "first come first serve" process (but only people who matched the cut-off percentage were selected). Fee had to be paid during the process of admission.
Faculty
A portion of the teaching staff do not take their jobs seriously and lack the skills to understand the students to teach them properly. Non teaching staff are very, very rude most of the time and do not do their jobs properly.
